Bourbon St Grill — Restaurant in Saskatoon

My husband didn't get a chance to even try it out. The poor customer service/racism put a bad taste in our mouths. We were standing in line, saw everyone ahead of us being offered samples of the different types of chicken. I left my husband in line as I went to pick up sushi.

My husband comes up behind me soon after upset and frustrated and shares that when he got to the front of the line (and had every intent of ordering) but 1st asked for a sample of the 2 types of chicken, they refused to give him a sample until AFTER he ordered. Odd, every other nationality in line before us did not have that rule but my indigenous husband had this rule? He asked multiple times for a sample so he knew what he would want and she kept refusing. Finally he just said "forget it!" and THEN the lady started to backpeddle and try to say, " no sir, ok come back and I will give you a sample." But the bad taste and the prejudiced damage was already done. I can't see us wanting to go or support this business/company after this...

Bourbon Street Grill is my favourite mall food on the planet but this location didn't stack up. It was sorta of chaos while trying to order, an employee just kinda jumped in front of her coworker to take my order while already in the middle of another person's order, things got confused. However I did end up with what I asked for. But the food was just not quite right. They didn't have the standard chow mein noodles they have at the other locations I've eaten at, and the chicken was undercooked, ice cold and had tons of little crunchy bits. I've never had a bad experience at a Bourbon Street Grill before until today. Also worth noting this was at 12:00 noon so the food should have been hot and fresh.

Went for lunch today and was excited to try this place, as I stood inline I watch as they gave samples of the food to patrons, when I got to the front of the line I asked if I could get a sample too, they refused 3 times. Kept saying no you order. Frustrated a d seeing everyone else get samples of different ethnicity and then me the only indigenous man in line gets told no. I started to walk away when they said just wait you can try. Too late , damage was done. As I stood at another food place, I again watched as they handed out sample freely to every other customer after me. Disgusting and degrading it was.
