Hunger Cure Restro Bar — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I don't normally do this but my husband and I had such a weird experience that we feel we should. My husband looked all day for a perfect place to book a reservation for a date for us. We agreed on hunger cure and he booked for a 6:00 reservation for new year's Eve. We got there 10 min early and were sat in the middle of three other tables. All three tables were regularly helped by two servers and a bartender yet all three employees completely went out of their way to not even look at my husband and I. We waited for 25 minutes for someone to come by and even bring us water and no one did. Finally after the last time a waitress brought the neighbouring table a refill of their drinks and then turned around and cleaned an empty table behind them instead of asking us what we wanted we just got up and left without saying anything. They probably didn't even notice that we left. Super weird that they totally ignored us, we were one of only 4 tables so it's not like they were busy. Being there before, the food was good so we were looking forward to it but now we won't be going back. We ended up being able to get into the 'scarlet' restaurant in the Sheraton Hotel and had a 10/10 experience. Would recommend going...

Went to the Hunger Cure Restro Bar on 2nd Ave in Saskatoon last night. What a great experience. We had the 8oz steak special hopped with carmelized onions and mushrooms (salty deliciousness), garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned buttery vegetables. Was cooked perfectly! Also started with appetizer of bruschetta with cheese, bacon, chives, almonds drizzled with a nice aoli type sauce - inhaled instantly! Try it! Shrimp tacos were ordered by my wife. Typically not something she would order, but they were fantastic. Very fresh, savoury and you could taste each ingredient separately Youngest daughter ordered butter chicken… a far stretch from her usual chicken fingers. It can with a side bowl of basmati rice, naan bread and another crispy rolled crepe kinda thing. She didn’t speak through the whole meal as the wonderful taste overwhelmed her! Lol Finally, our oldest daughter ordered the loaded burger with poutine. She said it was the best poutine she’d ever had - the burger was great too. Get a side of the chipotle mayo dip…. You’ll thank me! Cheesecake with a strawberry topping and chocolate drizzle for dessert! Awesome

Spectacular first experience with Uber Eats order from Hunger Cure Restro Bar.

The beer battered fish: Still warm and CRISPY upon receiving. Portion was much bigger than I had even expected. Wish a second or third jar of tartar sauce was included. Didn't know or I'd have ordered additional tartar sauce on the side. I absolutely loved the chunks of pickles in the tartar sauce, perfectly flavoured all jam packed in that little container

Ceasar salad: Fresh romaine was used. None of that pink/browning garbage. You can also tell fresh bacon was used for the bacon bits as they're the fried strips that are cut into small strips instead of the over fried crumbly bacon bits you get at some places. Imagine, fresh chewy bacon bites in every mouth full. Flakes of parmesan. and the dressing was not overly salty. fresh ground pepper. Magnificant!

Soup of the day - Broccoli Cheddar: OMGish...it's my child's favorite food made into a soup. Need I say more?!
