Do not come here !! I’m honestly surprised by all of these reviews. I live in the states and I’ve been to San Diego and Mexico plenty of times. This place is no where close to being authentic Mexican food. It took longer than it should have to get a waiter to take our order. I ordered the ceviche and a bean and cheese burrito. The ceviche did not taste fresh and did not look appetizing. I asked for a bean and cheese burrito. The waiter confirmed that it was just bean and cheese with no veggies. When I received my food, it had black beans,(I was expecting pinto beans)cheese, rice, and veggies. I thought asking for a bean and cheese burrito was pretty self explanatory. 3 Mariachis (Esplanade Location) Unfortunately, our experience at 3 Mariachis on Esplanade was underwhelming. The staff was polite and provided good service, which we appreciated. However, the food did not meet expectations, especially considering the $120 bill.

The guacamole lacked freshness and depth of flavor. The fish taco was dry and flavorless, and the chicken taco wasn’t any better—just not enjoyable overall. I was hopeful about the beef birria, and while it had the right amount of beef and cheese, it too was bland and the consommé lacked the rich, savory flavor I’m used to.
