I’ve been going to this location almost every day for a year to date spending on average 14-15 bucks. You do the math… Figured I’d review it because today’s experience was a bit of a last straw… Anyway, all the food that I’ve tried has been good. Pastries are fresh and delicious. Coffee is well made, no issues there at all. Cafe is cozy, clean with a nice patio. Once or twice had to use the washroom, always been clean as well. Overall food and atmosphere are great!
Service.. so most of the people who work there are competent and pleasant, however I did get the wrong order on multiple occasions but never bothered to go back because it wasn’t a huge deal (turkey bacon left off the croissant, forgot to add mayo.. whatever, no biggie). However, a few weeks ago they gave me a totally diff breakfast croissant. I didn’t realize it until I got home and unwrapped it. Next day I said something and was told that maybe I gave them the wrong order… like I didn’t word it properly or read it exactly off the menu. Like really??? Just give a complimentary croissant and move on but guess in this culture of mediocrity, the customer is a KAREN and is always wrong.
This morning I came in and waited TO ORDER my coffee for over 20 min. There were 3 people ahead of me. Lady at the register was periodically telling us to use “self serve”. I squeezed through to the kiosk with my stroller and it wasn’t working. When I was trying to add my items, it said something like “error see attendant”. You’re understaffed, directing people to order their own stuff and couldn’t make sure your machine was working properly. Girl on cash is nice but hey if this is not your forte, don’t force it. But here I am, complaining about something so petty right? What a Karen. Well, my kid started crying because I was stuck in the line up forever and it was just a generally stressful experience. It is was it is I guess. Maybe they’ll miss my $75-80...
Read moreI just had the most amazing experience at Aroma Bathurst St, all thanks to Glen and their incredible menu! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but it was the food that really stole the show.
First off, the cheese melt was absolutely heavenly—perfectly gooey and rich, with just the right balance of flavors. It’s clear that they take their time to perfect every dish. And don’t even get me started on their pastries. The brownies are a must-try! Rich, fudgy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, they’re hands down some of the best I’ve had and if you're a fan of rich, decadent hot chocolate, Aroma is the place to be. Their hot chocolate is pure perfection—velvety smooth, and with that perfect balance of chocolatey goodness. It's the kind of drink that wraps you in warmth and comfort with every sip. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and it’s clear they put a lot of care into getting it just right.
Whether you're enjoying it alongside one of their delicious pastries or as a standalone treat, it’s the ultimate cozy drink. Perfect for a chilly day or whenever you need that little indulgence. Highly recommend!
Glen and the team are always so welcoming, which just makes the experience even better. If you're in the area, definitely make sure to stop by—whether for the cheese melt or the irresistible pastries, you...
Read moreThe service is very minimal and basic. I come here a lot because I live in the neighbourhood, the food is all right. The coffee is really good, I like the coffee. It’s not the best, but it’s also not Tim Hortons. The beans are very rich and I like that. The size of the croissants are a bit ridiculous, I feel that they have dramatically decreased in size but unfortunately the prices haven’t dramatically decreased. The service is slow, I find it consistently towards me and others that look like me. My experience has been as such, and I am speaking on the service that I have received. Pls do not deflect or change the narrative to what aroma wants. Again, I am a regular here and this is MY experience. Just because you claim to be “ nice to everyone and friendly to everyone”, it’s a little sad that honesty is not put in the forefront. An apology and acknowledgement would’ve rectified a lot but unfortunately deflection, gaslighting, and denying that this happened (lying) is probably what will be the response from the owner. I am a business owner myself, and I know that when I receive feedback that isn’t the best or isn’t to my standard, it makes me want to preform better. I hope that...
