Lobster rolls are my all-time favourite food. All my close friends and family know that I'd eat them if they were more affordable and abundant (and with less purine 💀). Hence, I was hyped when I found out that Blue Claw Lobster had new locations in Toronto. I finally got to try them today. Overall, they're good, but nothing stood out. I ordered the Seaside sensational role since it is the cheaper alternative with shrimp/lobster mixed salad instead of the lobster-exclusive rolls (which I really appreciated!), along with an upgraded side of the lobster tots (+6 dollars). In total it was 25.93 including tax. I meant it is a lobster roll after all - I got the price.

The roll bread was fantastic—probably the highlight of the meal for me. The lobster/shrimp mix was not bad at all either. It was fresh and delicious. That said, I did not get the chunks of lobster since I think those would not be served in the more premium options (East Coast Classic Roll & Barrington Spicy Roll). The tater tots were overly fried, which I don't mind but I think lots of people would not enjoy them. That said, the combined flavours of sriracha mayo and Pico De Gallo were surprisingly good. I still enjoyed it. The lobster on the tater tots was just some mere shredded meat; it was not very impressive.

The service was ok, and the well food court was quite comfortable to eat at. I'll come back to try its Barrington spicy roll, and the burgers. There were also many interesting restaurants in the food court that I wanted to try too!

I'm giving 3 stars because I think the Tater Tots upgrade was not worth it, and the food I ordered today was average and not memorable overall. I'll come back and try other...

Food: 3 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Value: 3 Stars Overall: 3 Stars

I visited the Blue Claw Lobster Shack for a takeout experience, where I ordered their classic lobster roll. My visit was primarily to satisfy a craving for some fresh seafood. While there were some positives, a few aspects left me slightly disappointed.

First, the lobster roll itself was decent, but I noticed inconsistencies in the amount of lobster used. It seemed like some customers received more lobster fillings than others, which made me feel a bit short-changed, especially given the price point. Consistency in portion sizes is crucial, and it was a bit disheartening to see such a disparity.

The atmosphere of the Blue Claw Lobster Shack is shaped by its location inside the Well's food court. This setup naturally brings about a food court vibe, which might not be ideal for those looking for a more dedicated seafood restaurant ambiance.

On a positive note, the service was decent. The staff was reasonably quick in preparing my order and were polite throughout the interaction. They didn't go above and beyond, but they were efficient and courteous, which I appreciated.

Overall, my experience at the Blue Claw Lobster Shack was a mixed bag. While the service was satisfactory and the location convenient for a quick bite, the inconsistency in the lobster roll portions was a bit of a letdown. I hope they can address these issues to improve the overall experience for all...

My wife was walking by the food area and spotted Lobster Rolls at Blue Claw Lobster Shack. She loves lobster rolls and ordered one here. She chose the East Coast Classic Roll Combo.

It was an average lobster roll. The photo on the screen looks better than the actual product. I can see why they offered double meat at an additional cost. You really need more meat as there's a lot of mayo added for volume. It might be unfair, but since the price point is similar to a local food truck in my city, my mind automatically compares the two and the amount of meat is much more generous at my local food truck. However, I am sure the operating cost for a mall stall is much higher than the food truck, so that may be reflected in the food value. At the end of the day, the East Coast Classic Roll is fresh and flavorful, and we finish it.

The fries were Costco cavendish ones. Unfortunately, those tend to absorb a lot of greasy. I wished that they would take a page from the chip trucks and make them fresh.

I would not order the lobster rolls here again, but I would consider trying their fish...

The fish and chips are perfect (just be aware that they take a longer time to prepare). The store like others at the market are super busy on weekends, the service is somewhat different to a weekday! Visited a couple of times, I appreciate that one server took the initiative and created a remote serving area - but - the order took longer, had I just stayed in the main line lol! For some reason the payment processed twice and I reached out to my bank right away. I wish the store would have a larger menu and perhaps have a QR code so people can just order from their phone :) it was annoying the lady glaring at the payment machine when the option for tips popped up! With the fish and chips taking so long.. it was interesting to note the customer who ordered the same time as myself got a voucher for the same wait as myself Nevertheless the best fish and chips in this market ;)
