I went to this restaurant last night around 9:45 pm with my boyfriend. We are both food lovers and this has to be one of my worst experiences eating out. The host was dressed in all baggy sweatpants and a sweater which I found odd. As soon as we walked in it was just a weird vibe. There are literally 4 tables very close together making for awkward dining. I asked for two waters and they said they did not have cups that day, so we got 2 cokes. How do you not have cups? We think they just did not want to serve us. We both ordered soup, which had questionable meat appearances. My boyfriend is a professional chef and he did not even know what the meat was. I was served in a take out bowl while my boyfriend was not. I asked for hot sauce and a fork twice. The host did not get either she just sat down on her phone. The atmosphere was off and so was the food. We overheard another couple complaining as well. It was so awkward we paid and left after 10 minutes of being there. Very upset at the money wasted. I think the only reason we didn't walk out as soon as sensing the vibe is because we...
Read moreHow was the food? the food tasted good, I am not exactly sure if this is authentic chengdu taste, but the food itself is quite oily, but don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the taste, I would just never in a million years recommend you the drink the soup (if you ordered the soup dish). This will probably also be the reason I would not come back here too often because I feel the food probably very unhealthy, but once in a while is probably okay. I am definitely interested in trying out other dishes
How was the service? it was good, shop is really small so you can easily call the server
How was interior? the store is small, maybe 4 to 5 2 seater tables plus a high table area that can sit 4
Would I recommend? yes, but like I said, taste is good, it is just probably not that healthy, so you should limit your visits and don’t...
Read moreThe wonton tastes great, and that's just a given —— the service is also immaculate on top of the great food. On my rare occasions of dining here, I ordered wonton and forgot to specify less spice for my order. The waiter notice me struggling with the spice, offered to give me more soup to water it down. And when I asked for dessert hoping it would save me from the hell of spice, he offered me a free drink! Such a nice gesture. The wonton has a lot of flavor and if I had ordered less spice I could've handled it. If you love spice then perfect for you. I know this because I was already a returning customer before today. It will be my go-to place for a meal in the future and I strongly recommend it especially if you live in the area.
