Visited Church’s Texas Chicken at the Harbour Square location in Toronto for the first time last night. For starters the staff was not very friendly or helpful. The drink machine was basically empty, with the exception of sparkling water. We let them know and they said they would fix it but it took them a good 25-30 minutes to go check on it. They continued to give customers after us cups and when they all went back to ask why the machine was empty, the staff never went to check on it. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and there were plenty of opportunities for the employees to go and fix the machine yet they didn’t, so we got our drinks pretty late. When it came to the food it was a 2/5 stars at best. The fries, onion rings, and mashed potatoes were all fresh and pretty good, but I can’t say the same about the chicken. We ordered an 8 piece chicken combo, and in one of the chicken pieces we realized it was filled with blood, undercooked and completely inedible. We went to complain and the staff member we spoke to was not very apologetic. They gave us an extra thigh piece to make up for it but by that point we lost our appetite and felt sick to our stomach’s. Would not recommend this location of...
Read moreI placed a small order through Doordash on the 20th of March. This store did not accept it on time. 45 minutes later I was still waiting for them to notify me of my order updates. I then tried to call the store three times and they never picked it up. Finally, my last resort was to pick up my order to my surprise: the store was so calm---no cafe customers, no line of mobile orders, employees weren't even busy! As I went to get my order, an asian employee named Irish and another employee who was a "chubby" Indian lady rudely dismissed me when I politely raised my concern of them not accepting a Doordash order on time and not answering telephone calls. Weren't the workers taught of these basic services? I then saw the Indian lady accept my Doordash order on the machine right in front of me, and then lied to my face saying she did it before I came! I did not get any apologies, nor any good day wishes, they acted as if nothing wrong ever happened to me and this particular order. Gladly this would be my last visit. I liked the store when they opened, but they are going downhill fast with bad customer service and...
