My first compliment is for Manuel; the people make the place and Manuel is an asset to the team because he takes pride and sincerity in his craft. His service was absolutely impeccable throughout.

Secondly and moving on to the food. As someone of Indian descent, I am incredibly picky about Indian food and this place was a pure luck of the draw gamble.

Well the gamble was absolutely worth it because the food is phenomenal. To put it plainly it is some of the best Indian food I have had on my travels.

Appetizer - my barometer is either chili paneer or a chaat (in this case bhel puri) and both dishes were spot on.

Entree - I’m glad I chose something other than my usual chicken tikka masala in that I went for the chicken lababdar and my colleague chose the lamb vindaloo. We paired both dishes with garlic naan and jeera rice.

After being up since 2:30am and working all day, this was what we needed. The food was soul fulfilling and we practically ate with both our appetites and eyes.

The establishment is aesthetic and charming plus the music was awesome as we desis all appreciate our Bollywood music.

5 stars and I look forward to returning and shall pass the word around to my other pilot brethren for their...

It was overall a pleasant and positive experience. We were 6 adults and 5 kids.

What we did not like at all - If I did the math right, the bill came with a 8-10% gratuity in-built which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu and not verbally communicated by the staff. If it was mentioned and we missed it, then I will edit this review and update it. But, we'd prefer to pay gratuity cash directly to our servers to ensure it goes to them only.

What we really liked – There was any issue with one of the items and they promptly fixed it. They also graciously offered free desert to make up for it.

Non-veg platter: Good (Kabab, Tandoori Chicken), Average (Malai Tikka), Could be better (Haryali Tikka) Non-veg curries Good (Shrimp Butter Masala), Average (Chicken Korma) Veg curries: Average (Paneer Butter Masala) Breads – Naan was very-very stretchy – didn’t feel healthy so avoided. Tandoori Roti was fine. Lamb biryani was nice. Overall Salt level in all of the food was really low which was a little off-putting.

Drinks – No beer on tap, only bottled. Lemon soda was nice but expensive. Tea was fantastic - we specially asked not to serve us any machine made beverage. Coffee...

Extremely disappointed with my recent order. The rasmalai was clearly spoiled—it was slimy, had a foul smell, and was completely inedible. Just look at the video attached—there’s no way this should have been sold to anyone. This was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to serve stale sweets, especially something as delicate as rasmalai. This raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. This place is expensive so I do expect better food safety and service. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Dear Chef Dil Tak,

Please do not try to justify a clear mistake. I am an Indian native and well aware of how Rasmalai and Rabdi Rasmalai are supposed to taste and feel. A rich and creamy texture is one thing — but a slimy texture is a clear indication of spoilage, not authenticity.

Reply to the restaurant’s reply:

Your explanation does not address the real concern, and attempting to pass off stale food as “authentic” is not acceptable. I am genuinely upset, and this kind of response is only making things worse.

I would appreciate it if you could handle this matter seriously, without...

This Indian Fine Dining restaurant has recently opened on the Harbourfront and is the second location from their other restaurant in Parkdale, Dil Se. The restaurant has beautiful decorations with traditional Indian decorative. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they make dure to accommodate your preferences and food allergies. They offer great quality and unique taste and all the dishes are beautifully decorated and served. We tried “Tandoori Shrimp”, “Classic chicken Tikka-Trio”, “Chicken Kamasutra”, “Lamb Shank Rogan Josh”, “Sabz Bahar”, “Paneer Lababdar”, “Chef's Special Naan”, “Peshwvari Naan”, “Vegetabale Briyan”. We also ordered “Rose Blossom” and “Autumn Breeze” from the cocktail and mocktail menu. Every dish was creative and delicious. I would strongly recommend trying Chicken Kamasutra. For dessert, we ordered “Gulab Jamun Brownie with Chocolate Syrup” and “Gulab Jamun with Pabdi” which is a combination of two of my favourite Indian desserts: Rasmalai and Gulab Jamun. The desserts were a perfect way to finish our meal.
