Came on a Sunday for lunch to the Queen’s Quay location. This was my first time. There are two entrances, the one from the outside is easy to miss. It’s a small black hut like structure with the impact logo just above the door. The door inside the building has a big IMPACT sign above the glass storefront so it’s much more visible.
Orders are taken at the counter. The menu is on their website so you can peruse it ahead of time to get an idea of what to get. On the weekend they have a brunch menu that is not offered during the weekdays. Once you place your order, they give you a wood stick with a table number and you seat yourself and staff bring the food to your table and take the wood stick once all your items are delivered. Salt and pepper is also provided.
We ordered: Farmhouse Skillet: 2 poached eggs, sweet potatoes, acorn squash, apple, red onion, garlic, thyme, sage, kale, lemon, olive oil, sea salt. This dish was very average. The eggs were ok, the dish itself didn’t have much flavour and it is quite oily. Thai Butternut Squash Soup (16 oz): butternut squash, onion, apple, ginger, garlic, maple syrup, vegan red Thai curry paste, olive oil, lime juice, coconut milk, sea salt, black pepper, coconut cream, pumpkin seeds, chili flakes. Texture and flavour is good. Comes with a slice of sourdough bread. Superfood Benny: 2 poached eggs, avocado, superfood waffle, hollandaise sauce, broccoli sprouts, roasted garlic herb butter, side salad. Really enjoyed this dish. The eggs are perfectly cooked, the waffle is not too sweet and the salad is refreshing and pairs well together.
Staff here are great. Very friendly and check in periodically. Seating is in a nice open bright area with floor to sealing glass walls which makes it a very pleasant atmosphere. There are other things on the menu I would be interested in trying so I...
Read moreObsessed with the Protein Pancakes This place has become my go-to Sunday brunch spot — and honestly, it’s all because of their protein pancakes. I’m obsessed. Like, fully. They’re super filling (basically breakfast and lunch in one), and the flavor is spot on. Not dry or too sweet — just right. And the portion? Huge. For $16.99, it's totally worth it.
🍽️ What I Usually Get: Protein Pancakes – made with whey protein, oat & almond flour, topped with maple syrup, strawberries, blueberries, and this amazing cinnamon butter. It's clean, but still feels like a treat.
👯♀️ Stuff I’ve Tried With Friends (All Solid): Avocado Toast – $11.99 Simple but super fresh. Comes with a boiled egg and chili flakes — hits the spot. Omelette – $14.99 You can pick your cheese, 3 toppings, and a side (I go for sweet potatoes). It’s actually really good post-workout.
🪴 Vibe & Service: They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating. I always sit outside when the weather’s nice — you can chill, watch dogs running around in the park, or people heading to the lake. Good energy, not too busy, just right. Service is always solid. They’re quick and polite — no complaints. Also, they apparently give free cookies to first-timers... my friends got one. I didn’t 😐 still bitter about that.
💸 Price-wise: Not cheap, but not crazy either. You’re paying for clean, good-quality food — and I’m here almost every week, so that says something.
✅ Would I recommend it? 100%. Especially after a workout or run. Chill spot, healthy food, and those pancakes?...
