Growing up in Germany I know exactly what a German Döner is but it’s definitely not this one I went all the way from Burlington to Toronto today so I can have this Döner and the lady just messed it up because they think by playing guessing writing games on the boxes of the Döner would be funny If someone orders a spicy Döner just write on the freaking box spicy and when someone orders a yogurt with garlic sauce you just write on the box yogurt and garlic as if a customer needs to understand what you and the kitchen staff communication are or how you do your registry I opened the box which had yogurt and garlic on it and took a bite from it because that what I order to find out it was the Spicy Döner you know when you get excited for something that you didn’t eat for a long time and you are just happy you found it and someone just needs to mess it up this is the place I went back and told them and they tried to convince me that I had to understand the way they write in the boxes is removed spicy and removed Garlic and yogurt that it is my fault and I should have to just assumed what it should be because of their writing
It’s very simply just fyi Spicy Döner , garlic Döner, yogurt Döner it can get easier
on top of that my husband ordered a Coke Zero I have the receipt and she still gave us the regular coke but because we were in such a hurray we just noticed that in the car and it was already late even to go back
Teach your staff to write better specifically the hand written or to communicate with the customer to explain what you mean on the boxes and on top of that for 13.99 I got a much better Döner filled with meat and salad and they had taste yours is just a pic of it but there is no taste you barely have anything in it people from Germany will laugh about your Döner
First time and last time for sure till I find the right place that does the Döner exactly how the Turkish people in Germany do it
It was the most unnecessary drive I ever made from Burlington to Toronto for a German Döner what a joke
You need to learn a lot
And by the way if the manger wants the packages to see how and what was written on it I gladly will send you a pic of both boxes because the lady just took one pic of one box I took both of the...
Read moreGerman Doner Kebab on Queen Street presents an intriguing blend of style and substance, yet it's the latter that occasionally leaves something to be desired. While the eatery boasts a distinct aesthetic and an enticing menu, the overall experience can be marred by an excess of oiliness that detracts from the enjoyment.
The style factor at German Doner Kebab is unmistakable. The modern and visually appealing setting creates an atmosphere that is both trendy and inviting. From the decor to the presentation of the dishes, there's an evident effort to create an appealing dining environment that draws patrons in and captures their attention.
However, where German Doner Kebab falls short is in the substance of the dining experience. While the menu promises flavorful and satisfying doner kebabs, the presence of excessive oiliness can be a noticeable drawback. A balance between succulence and grease is crucial in achieving a memorable doner experience, and the oiliness can unfortunately overshadow the flavors and textures that should shine.
While style and presentation play a significant role in enhancing the overall dining experience, they should ideally complement the quality and taste of the food itself. The excessive oiliness can detract from the enjoyment of the flavors and textures that the menu aims to deliver.
In conclusion, German Doner Kebab on Queen Street offers an experience that emphasizes style but occasionally falls short in terms of substance. The visually appealing setting and enticing menu draw patrons in, yet the oiliness that can accompany the dishes may overshadow the authentic flavors and textures that should take center stage. Striking a better balance between style and substance could elevate the overall experience and create a more memorable and satisfying visit...
Read moreThe nurses at SickKids in the operating room work continuously to facilitate paediatric surgical care despite facing critical staffing shortages and financial challenges and being one of the major paediatric hospitals in the province. Our nursing celebrations to boost staff morale are self-funded and usually dependent on donations from the community. Last year after many closed doors and declines for sponsorship I decided to message German Doner Kebab, also known as GDK. I was surprised to hear back from GDK, for not only providing meals, but their signature decadent 'Boss Boxes' filled with large portions of fresh ingredients, especially the meats infused with herbs and spices, handmade waffle bread, delicious fries and spring rolls, a drink and various signature sauces. They definitely live up to their motto - "Kebabs done right". When the German Doner Kebab Boss Boxes were distributed to the nurses you could see the surprise and joy on their faces - even if they were wearing a mask! It felt like Christmas morning. It was evident to not only see but feel the shift of energy and brightened spirits amongst the team from the wonderful meal. Many nurses commented that they would be having their meal for dinner as well since the portions were so large! Personally coming from a Turkish background, Doners have always been a cultural comfort food that is embedded with many fond memories. It was wonderful to share that comfort and joy amongst my colleagues and make memories with my work family. Thank you so much German Doner Kebab for your support last year, and this year. The values placed in the quality and art of your food extends beyond your meals and in your...
