My friends and i were so excited to finally try Mizzica after hearing so many great things. I had recommended it to my friends based on someone elseâs suggestion, and we all decided to make the trip together. We literally travelled 45 km - yes, 45 km - just to try this place out. There were 7 of us, and we were genuinely looking forward to it.
We got there around 10:35 PM and just made it into the line before it was closed. They had a QR code posted outside to check the available flavours, but when we scanned it, it only took us to their Instagram page. Honestly, that wasnât helpful at all - there was no clear or updated menu of that specific day, so we had to guess and just decide as a group what we wanted. When it was finally our turn to go inside, we were ready - but then we noticed that most of the flavours were SOLD OUT. Only 4-5 options were left, none of which were our first picks. We understood that it was late and they were running low, which is fair. But the way it was handled was what ruined the whole experience.
The girl inside, who seemed young, asked us for our order right away. When we hesitated and politely said, âGive us a minute to choose,â she snapped and said something like, âOkay, step out of the line then, I can bring more people in.â Mind you - the line was already closed, and only five people were left behind us. Her tone felt EXTREMELY DISMISSIVE AND RUDE, especially after we had waited so long, travelled so far, and were genuinely excited.
Then, when one of my friends asked if she could try a sample (since none of the remaining flavours were familiar or our first choice), the girl just said, âNo, weâre not giving samples at this time.â That really threw us off. Every gelato or ice cream shop weâve ever been to has happily given samples - it literally takes a second. We werenât asking for anything unreasonable, just basic courtesy.
It felt like they were in a rush to close, even though it wasnât past their closing time. If thatâs the case, they should close the line earlier, not make people feel like a burden just because they came closer to closing. The energy inside was so rushed and unwelcoming, it honestly took all the excitement out of the experience.
We left feeling disappointed and a bit shocked. Customer service matters, especially in a place that thrives on word-of-mouth and Instagram hype. We werenât asking for much - just a respectful, welcoming experience after going out of our way to visit. Unfortunately, we didnât get that.
Would I go again? Probably not. And I wouldnât recommend others go so out of their way for it either, unless something changes. Good product or not, HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS MATTERS JUST AS MUCH-...

From the moment you step through the door, you feel like you are entering a special atmosphere where every detail of the interior is meticulously thought out and crafted with great love and care. The interior captivates with its beauty: stylish, cozy, and elegant at the same time, creating a unique ambiance of comfort and warmth.
The exterior of the establishment is no less impressive than the interior. The facade looks stunning and immediately attracts attention with its sophistication and neatness. Every element of the exterior design harmoniously fits into the overall look, creating a sense of completeness and cohesion.
As for the food and drinks, they truly know how to please even the most discerning gourmet. The latte was so delicate and balanced that its taste lingered in my memory. Each sip was a pleasure, and it is undoubtedly one of the best lattes I have ever had. The gelato was also exceptional: light, natural, with a bright flavor of fresh fruits and berries. It literally melted in my mouth, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. Special mention goes to the Red Velvet cake. It was incredibly delicious, with a perfect texture and rich flavor. There was nothing to criticize.
I particularly want to highlight the presentation and packaging of the products. Everything is done with great taste and precision, which further enhances the positive impressions. The staff deserves special praise. All the employees were incredibly polite and smiling, which created an additional sense of comfort and coziness.
Our visit coincided with a rainy day, and perhaps thatâs why there was no queue in the establishment. We were able to calmly enjoy all the charms of this wonderful place. Huge thanks for such impeccable service and attentive customer care.
Overall, this establishment left me with the warmest and most pleasant impressions. I will gladly return here and highly recommend everyone to visit this...
Read more5 reasons why this is worth adding to our top favorite: Itâs authentic gelato (no itâs not ice cream or confectionery treat, not with the diabete-level amount of sugar, itâs gelato!!!) - update: as of 2023, they're american sweet, many of our favorite flavors now taste like commercial ice cream Itâs full of NATURAL flavors, fresh fruity/ nutty ones. Even the chocolate ones are creative and fine They paid attention to texture! There are fun texture like the Giardini (hope i spelled it right), rocher or some others that have interesting texture. 10/10 for those creative texture! They rotate the flavors! You will be pleasantly surprised every visit. This is like the kind of love you want (familiar, comfortable yet always giving something exciting for every date) lol The people working here love their job and knows the value of what theyâre selling. I love the vibrance, the life, the energy out of it. Not all the time itâs crowded, but it gives the feeling that they paid attention to their product, passionate about making it and take pride in giving this top-tier gelato in Toronto. Update 2023: they r so crowded and always having a long queue :(
We tried the other top 10 gelato places many are masked as gelato but are actually ice cream (indicator: read the menu, if less than 30% of them are with fruit flavors, they are more likely to be ice cream/ gelato-wannabe), the runner-up on our list is so far behind this one. Me and my husbandâve been here frequently at least once a week and 6-9 scoops each visit...
