Okay so picture this — it’s absolutely pouring, I’m standing at the bus stop, soaked and just kind of over the day. Then I spot this cute little restaurant across the street. At first, I was like “Nah, I’ll just wait for the bus.” But then I looked again and thought, “You know what? Screw it. The next bus will come. Let me just go check it out.” Best decision ever.
I went in and it was so cozy inside — warm, friendly vibe, music playing, big windows looking out at the rain and trees. I decided to order takeout: Veg spicy Schezwan Noodles with Manchurian Balls and Veg Pan-Fried Momos (because duh, comfort food). While I waited, I just sat there watching the rain and honestly, it felt like a movie moment. So peaceful.
Now the food? Amazing. The noodles were spicy, garlicky, and super flavorful — like the kind of taste that instantly reminds you of home. Huge portion too. The momos were bomb — perfectly chopped veggie filling, super tasty, and the sauce they gave with it? Chef’s kiss. Not too spicy but still packed with flavor (and I’m someone who handles Indian 8/10 spice so that’s saying something).
Only thing — I wish the momos were a bit more crispy since they were pan-fried, but that’s probably on me for not saying I wanted them extra crispy. Lesson learned.
The girl working there was super sweet and helpful too. And I found out if you eat there on a nice day, you can actually sit by the window and watch the dog park across the street — like, cute dogs and good food? Come on.
So yeah… what started as a rainy, blah kind of day ended up being such a good little moment. I’m...

Now for the food…
The Beef Bangkok Pad Thai $16 was NOT good and I wouldn’t waste my money again on this. It was like an amateur cook cooked it . The beef was dry, tough and over cooked. The noodles was undercooked and not soft and there were several chunks throughout that were too hard and stuck together without flavour/sauce coated on it. The flavour was way too sweet and tasted nothing like authentic Thai Pad Thai. It was suggested I try this and when I asked if it tasted like the Thai style version I was told yes. Originally, I wanted the Spicy Schezwan noodle, but was told it’s very spicy so it wasn’t recommended. Oddly enough, it was suggested that I try Spicy Schezwan momos.
The Special chicken momos in Spicy Schezwan with mango noodle salad $13 were better. The momos were tasty except way too spicy for me, probably Habernero level so you’ve been warned! I couldn’t detect mango taste on the salad and it was extremely thin and just tasted watery.
This was too much money spent to have undercooked sweet noodles with dry tough beef and firery momos with tasteless salad.
I might try one other thing, but have to think hard about it because I work too hard for my money to waste more here if it’s not...
Read moreIf I was able to give negative stars I would. Let’s start with the chicken corn soup. Something that has corn in the name, you’d think you’d be able see it in the soup, almost no corn to be found but then the flavour, it was completely bland, I had to add several packets of soy sauce, vinegar and chilli sauce in order to ensure it was even remotely palatable. And now the steamed chicken momos. You’d think the concept of something being both severely overcooked and still underdone would not be possible but give it to Momo Loco dumplings to do the unthinkable cause these dumplings were just that! The bottom was completely soggy, to the point that all the filling was falling out when I picked them up but somehow the tops were still raw. I couldn’t eat any of the food and ended up about over $20 for absolute garbage. Never coming...
