I recently visited Chaska Restaurant (Lower Jarvis) and had an extremely disappointing experience. I ordered a Tandoori Paneer Naan Roll and a Samosa, but both the food quality and customer service were below expectations.
First, the staff was not at all friendly. When I asked for a moment to decide my order, the lady at the counter rushed me, saying I had less than five minutes because they were about to close. Instead of being accommodating, she made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, even though I was a paying customer. She barely gave me 30-40 seconds before asking again if I was ready.
Now, coming to the food: • Tandoori Paneer Naan Roll: I requested it to be spicy, but instead of infusing proper spice into the naan or filling, they just threw in roughly chopped green chilies. The naan itself was hard and rubbery, making it difficult to chew. The overall flavor was completely off, and it didn’t taste anything like an authentic tandoori roll. • Samosa: This was equally bad. It had weird, unbalanced flavors, was overly oily, and the filling tasted off. It did not resemble the typical samosa taste that one would expect.
Ultimately, I wasted my money on a meal that was poorly prepared and served with an unwelcoming attitude. I understand that it was near closing time, but that does not justify rushing customers or compromising on food quality.
I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely not be...
Read moreHeard great reviews about this place but we had an extremely disappointing visit today. The chaats were decent and prepared quickly as we were the only customers when we first arrived. Here comes the next part - we then ordered our main courses - 3 grill platters (2 non veg and 1 veg) and a chicken tikka Kathi roll. First problem - the menu suggests that you get your meats etc with a paratha and a soft drink which is clearly not the case. So you end up with just the meats and veggies with nothing to eat on the side. The order taker doesn't even make you aware about this being a separate charge or ask you if you want to add it with your meal. Next problem - the chicken Tikka in the Kathi roll and all the meats in the non veg platter and the soya in the veg platter were RAW. The staff (2 people) are clearly struggling to cook, serve and prepare when the crowd comes in and we customers pay a price for raw food and they don't even seem apologetic about it. All the meats, and soya items were uncooked and and prepared in a hurry - outside burnt and inside raw. Lastly, the chutney given with the platters were spoilt- when we opened the container the chutney was bubbling / foaming and smelling. And the staff after seeing this refuse to accept that it is bad and we challenged them to taste it. Never eating here again and there should be a way we report this place to the relevant food authorities for operating so...

Ande ka Funda is the classic omelette stuffed in buns, with a sweet-tangy twist of makhani sauce. The funda is simple - Sunday or Monday, have a daily dose of ande! 🍳🥚
We then gorged on the North Indian favourite - Stuffed Paratha served with curd and pickle (their jackfruit pickle is an in-store specialty), and crowned with melted butter (but, of course!). Pair it with the masala chai served in cutting tea glasses, and you will have the breakfast of champions! 🌯🥙
The surprise delicacy was the Kesara Sera (I still can't get over this one). Saffron Kulfi and Gulab Jamuns resting on a crispy paratha decorated with rabdi and pistachios - it’s the stuff of dreams 🤩😉
We couldn't stop our ride just yet, so we tired the king of street food - Pani Puri. I fell in love with how they served the 'pani' in no-fuzz squeezy disposable...
