I LOVE coming here during the summer and napping under the shade of the umbrellas. Only reason I docked a star was because half the chairs are broken and it's understandably hard to find a spot sometimes. Also I wish people would stop smoking and throwing their butts onto the sand..and eating (which I don't mind) and throwing their garbage onto the sand (which I do mind).... Besides the obvious, it also attracts wasps and seagulls (beware, the seagulls here get dangerously close .__.) I wish people were more considerate... Instead of making this beautiful location a place everyone can enjoy some selfish idiots trash the place and ruin it...
Read moreThis place has a very tiny beach with seats and tables that faves a warehouse but also water. When you take the path further it leads you into the trees and a great view to watch boats. The nice thing is that it’s right by the city but the sad thing is that it’s quite small. This is a place you can stop and enjoy for a few moments but not somewhere you wanna stay for hours. There are a lot of students that walk through the area and it is pretty busy. Read moreSugar Beach Park with a bunch of iconic pink umbrellas, sand and rest area with lounge chairs scattered throughout the beach. There's also walkway areas that connects you to the new East Bayfront community as well. It's a pretty nice walk along the waterfront with cyclists and walkers. Or even dine at the nearby Against the Grain to see pedestrians walk by.
Depending on the time of the year, you can also hear Edge 102.1's Sugar Beach Sessions as well for some live music while relaxing or walking by the park. Very nice area to have a nice walk along...
