I LOVE coming here during the summer and napping under the shade of the umbrellas. Only reason I docked a star was because half the chairs are broken and it's understandably hard to find a spot sometimes. Also I wish people would stop smoking and throwing their butts onto the sand..and eating (which I don't mind) and throwing their garbage onto the sand (which I do mind).... Besides the obvious, it also attracts wasps and seagulls (beware, the seagulls here get dangerously close .__.) I wish people were more considerate... Instead of making this beautiful location a place everyone can enjoy some selfish idiots trash the place and ruin it...

This place has a very tiny beach with seats and tables that faves a warehouse but also water. When you take the path further it leads you into the trees and a great view to watch boats. The nice thing is that it’s right by the city but the sad thing is that it’s quite small. This is a place you can stop and enjoy for a few moments but not somewhere you wanna stay for hours. There are a lot of students that walk through the area and it is pretty busy. There are benches further down by the water and lots of trees to offer shade. even though this place is small I enjoyed a moment of serenity and nature! The path after the beach is quite...

Sugar Beach Park with a bunch of iconic pink umbrellas, sand and rest area with lounge chairs scattered throughout the beach. There's also walkway areas that connects you to the new East Bayfront community as well. It's a pretty nice walk along the waterfront with cyclists and walkers. Or even dine at the nearby Against the Grain to see pedestrians walk by.

Depending on the time of the year, you can also hear Edge 102.1's Sugar Beach Sessions as well for some live music while relaxing or walking by the park. Very nice area to have a nice walk along...

Nov 2024 Artificial urban beach within the historical harbour area of Toronto. Apologies to all loyal Torontonites as this review comes from an Asian perspective. The size is pretty restrictive and is purely seasonal when you have to consider its favorable side. But its location is pretty bad considering that it is right next to a barge area where sugar is shipped in. So I guess for locals it may come as a welcoming attraction but one wonders how sustainable and parctical it is to have this type of area with the options available for a public space.
