Great coffee spot, super friendly and helpful staff, light eats and good coffee. My ebike ran out of battery and I needed a place to plug in to get all the way to work. Barista was happy to oblige provided it wasn't in the way for other customers. There are also bike racks right outside the front doors so it's good for keeping an eye on your bike while inside. Connected to their strong wifi, plugged into one of their many plugs (plugs at every table!), and enjoyed a delicious coffee and a pesto chicken sandwich from the panini grill. Nice atmosphere and a good mix of others socializing and coworking. Took a meeting there no problem, charged up and then continued on to the office. They actually made running out of battery while trying to get to work (on a Monday morning) a very positive experience. Thanks!

Nestled in a charming setting, this newly opened coffee shop offers a delightful spot to enjoy a coffee and pastry. The ambiance is serene, making it a lovely space for a relaxed visit. I tried the caramel cardamom latte, which had a sweet, comforting flavor profile, and paired it with a lemon blueberry crumpet. The crumpet was delicious, with vibrant lemon notes shining through each bite. While the overall experience was wonderful, I noticed that some of the tables were slightly wobbly, which made it a bit challenging to enjoy my latte without repositioning it. Despite this minor inconvenience, the friendly staff and soothing atmosphere more than made up for it. I would rate this coffee shop 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone seeking a cozy spot to unwind with great coffee and treats.

Popped in this morning hoping for a nice start to the day, but I’ve genuinely never encountered a moodier barista. As someone who travels frequently for work and visits cafĆ©s all over, this was the first time I’ve been met with absolutely no greeting, no smile – not even a ā€œgood morning.ā€ If the place were called Grumpy Barista instead of Lazy Barista, I suppose I’d have been less surprised. :) Coffee and almond croissant were both average – nothing to write home about. Was planning to read a bit in the cafĆ©, but with Sugar Beach right out front, I ended up taking my coffee outside and reading there instead. Not the worst cafĆ© experience, but definitely not one I’d return for.

Drinks are great and baristas are friendly. There’s also a punch card which I always love, since it incentivizes customers to become regulars.

The one thing that really upsets me about this place is that it’s a new coffee shop in a new building and there is no wheelchair button to get in. I expect this from old buildings, but there isn’t really an excuse for a new building that’s levelled (i.e. not like there’s a step to get inside, so in theory with a button, someone with a physical disability should be able to enter the coffee shop). I expressed my concern to the barista who was very understanding. I really hope the owner can remedy this.

Also just another gripe, for a new coffee shop, the tables are quite wobbly.

Hopefully these issues get changed soon so I can bump this review up to 5 stars.

Edit in response to the owner: I was on crutches when I visited and was not offered a hand when entering or leaving (not necessarily the barista’s fault as they may have been busy and were working alone). I was luckily weight bearing so opening the door was a slight annoyance and not an impossible barrier. But relying on busy baristas to open the door is obviously not...

This place is nice and visible from both as a pedestrian and as a driver along Queen’s Quay E. The cafe is very comfortable and cozy and it’s also very clean with plenty of seating. They also have 3 tables outside of their store so we can bring our pup and sit outside to enjoy a beverage.

The espresso is not my cup of ā€˜tea’- it’s really sour and not only that, I’ve asked the baristas for some Splenda or anything that is not real sugar, they said that they ran out of everything but white sugar. They served our espresso in a large cup (it was a small coffee cup but not the proper size demitasse cup) but somehow drinking espresso in such an oversized cup makes the experience not as good -however I do recognize that it is my personal preference.

Extremely disappointed by this and I really wanted to enjoy this place more. The person on cash was super friendly and that’s what kinda saved me from giving a...
