So.... I have been coming here for 3 years off and on and honestly they have the best staff and some of the best food, a true hidden gem in this area. But... They recently hired a waitress that makes you not want to come back. Here's a live version of what's happening because I'm here now.

Her: would you like another glass of wine?

Me: sure!

Her: would you like a six or a 9 oz?

Me: I didn't realize there was an option, what have I been getting this whole time? ( 2 glasses in)

Her: well sir you never specified which one you want.

Me: (awkwardly realizing that she is defensive way before she needs to be) that's fine I just didn't know there was an option of small or large glasses.

Her: you just should have been more clear. I'll ask again, what size would you like?

Me: is there a problem have I offended you somehow?

Her: I just don't have time for this. What can I get you?

Me: there are literally two other tables besides mine that's six people total....

Her: whatever..

So if you reach this point you've read everything and I appreciate it. Odd to say the least.

Just thought I would share and do so "live" I still enjoyed my steak and my three glasses of wine. And the service/restaurants/Hotel has never been better,. Especially during covid. But I think they just made one little oopsie with this hire.

This is a five star rating.for.me but I rated my night with a...

I made reservations at Teller's Bar as I'm always wanting to try new places downtown and the website pics and menu made it seem intriguing; a restaurant in an old bank lobby. When we arrived, I was taken a little aback by the layout of the dining room. It is quite literally on a mezzanine in the lobby of a hotel but somehow it actually works. It doesn't at all feel like you're on display despite being wide open. The dining area is small, maybe with a dozen or so tables, but is clean and comfortable. What I really want to rave about is the burger. Easily one of the best that I've had in the city (and I've had a lot), especially if you choose to add a fried egg on top. Ridiculously juicy and flavorful. The wait staff is friendly and humorous and quick to serve. Attentive but not overbearing. One area of improvement necessary is the draft beer selection. Could use some nice local craft beers, since there are so many in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant and especially the burger. Just don't judge the dining room set up based on first impressions. Give it a try. Trust me,...

Came here at 10pm for a late night drink and snack. We weren’t seated and were told to sit “wherever” after standing around for 5 minutes or so.

We ordered a starter and a pizza after waiting another 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. We weren’t told of any issues or delays, and were told the food “wouldn’t take long”.

After waiting over 50 minutes, I was able to finally flag down a staff member who told me “sorry there is only one chef for the whole hotel, there’s nothing I can do”.

Could you have said this when we sat down? When we ordered? After we waited 30/40 or 50 minutes?

After 1 hour, 10 minutes, the food finally came, and was bland, salty and poorly seasoned. We asked for some more water after an hour waiting, and were told “wait.. 2 minutes”. 20 minutes later we finally got some water to go with our salty food.

Overall a terrible experience, poor communication and average food. Won’t be coming back again.

It could have been worse, the person behind me waited over an hour for a scoop...

Entrance is provided in the second picture! They don’t say or mention but you must go and seat yourself And you will be met with a waiter or waitress shortly which are very friendly and attentive! -I order the Korean bbq ribs and they were honestly 10/10 a must recommend, dont shy away from the price since you do get 6pieces with a small amount of vegetables and rice and I’m a big eater and it filled me up nicely! -Menu is QR scanned or you have to ask for the Physical menu. -If you can’t find a drink on the menu, you can kinda ask and they will make almost anything you ask at the bar. -Recommend this resto 100% PS: if you need something you have to ask or else it won’t be provided ! Which is good or bad depending on how you perceive it!

Tried out Teller's during happy hour and was happy to see a decent variety of food available in addition to a few drinks. I ordered the chevapi, which is a Balkan style pork or beef kebab. Teller's chevapi comes with fries and a couple of sauces, which includes ajvar. The dish was decent but I don't think I would consider it worth the cost for the regular price. I also tried the botanicals and soda drink. This was alright. Overall tellers is a bigger place more for the ambiance. It's a large bright spot that has a chic vibe to it. Nice for a date night. Service staff are quite attentive too.

I ordered a Caesar, the menu only showed one option. It was supposed to come with olives and crazy beans. It arrived at the table translucent and no green beans. I asked about the green beans and was told that I needed to order the special Caesar. I'm sorry but the menu showed only one. So what does that bartender do? Brought green beans and another shot of vodka to the table??? Worst tasting thing ever! Not impressed at all considering the price tag was $15!
