Good place to charge my devices and enjoy a coffee while people watching
Edit changed my review after I came back 5 to 10 min later because the new staff that was training didn't give me the correct change. I took the change and put it in my bra then continued to grab a coffee tray put my coffee and leave and no one said hey I dropped a 5 dollar bill or anything and triple checked my pockets and bra. I went back and asked they check the cameras after seeing the employee go talk to hwr manger the manager immediately walks out and says upon checking the cameras the employee gave you the change. And I said really? . ..that fast? And asked if they could show me the camera and they told me that id need a court order.... unbeknownst to him....im homeless and if I really wanted a 5 dollars so badly that I'd go to this much trouble rather then begging on the damn street,And receiving a 5 dollar bill probably instantly I'd probably go do that. But like I said im homeless so this man wants a court order I have nothing but time to fill out the paper work needed to file and then I still have enough time to fill out the fee waiver forms and payments I'd need to file because being homeless im the population who will benefit from the fee waiver as not even making 5 grand a year justifies such a form being used. And I dont need to pay a lawyer to do this paperwork who will most likely just say for $5 its not worth it. What's worth it to me is the principal. What's worth it to me is that a large cooperation who made how much during the last roll up the rim? Bullies the most vulnerable population for $5dollars when they "donated" billions of dollars into non profits that are also owned by them. And getting a tax deducted receipt for paying themselves billions of dollars. I hope other people have had this issue and speak about it and if you want to see the outcome please check the publicly available court documents in the future because im not kidding when I say my time is better spent elsewhere. My feeble amounts of government money is also better spent elsewhere and I guess today is the day I had my last time hortons anything because you want to play it this way with how much I've spent at your business from the beginning of my coffee drinking years (16years old but honestly was a hot chocolate customer for many years prior) till now? (32 years old) alot if money is would have better spent in i dunno maybe saving so I wouldn't go on disability at ups due to harrament and leading to my life being ruined and being made homeless by the police because my employer couldn't protect me in the workplace.is just one good example where I'd rather have spent my money then this place who blunders from the poor. Bravo you guys rock at creating never to be seen again customers EVER. This is the opposite of customer service and will ultimately lead to their downfall because I appreciate the small businesses who care to learn my name, and remember my order, and dont treat their customers like garbage and cant show them proof of being handed the correct change because to me proving what im saying is truth I'd love to show them they were wrong or vice versa rather then lose a customer or worse being made to look like a fool in the publicly available court documents. Even them giving me the audacity of pretending to spend 1 min looking at the damn camera woukd have been semi believable but with the amount of energy it took to tell me I was wrong.....when the customer is never wrong, the customer is always right. I know I am right by the actions they took here today and will tell everyone I know not to go to or trust them with your money. Because they will plunder more and more of it because human nature is greed but for corporations its greedy for paper money that HAS NO VALUE, IS THE ULTIMATE LEVEL OF GREED AN CORUPTION YOU CAN BE.HOORAY YOU LOST CAPITALISM OOPS WRONG WERE SOCOALIST? SERIOUSLY? I WOULD HAVE BEGGED A DIFFER. GO ELSEWHERE. AND IF YOU MUST HAVE THEIR SHITTY COFFEE THAT IS NO LONGER WHAT IT USED TO BE BECAUSE OF CORPORATE GREED...

This location has multiple issues.
Wait times: They are not competent at this location and severly understaffed. I was next in line and stood there for 5 minutes. I had to ask if they had any intention to take my order in order for them to ask me. Doesn't sound like an issue? There were 5 employees working and 4 customers - 1 customer behind me, and 2 waiting for their order. Employees out numbered customers and I still waited 5 minutes until I was acknowledged.
Bad Management. There is an Indian guy that is the manager. How he got that position is beyond me. He lacks both customer service skills and knowledge on food safety handling practices. I have observed him rinsing dishes in the back, then immediately walk to the counter with the front of his shirt drenched from the back splash and arms dripping wet. He did not wash his hands at all. He asked to take my order and I turned around and walked out. Not to mention that he kept looking back and saw customers waiting to order and still didn't care until whatever he was washing was done.
Too many ordering methods: This is a small location and they offer 4 different ways to order food - online, kiosk, Uber and counter. They do not have the size and stations to support these. It causes a massive bottle neck getting orders filled and out the door in a timely matter.
Wrong orders: This place messes up my order 40% of the time. I have gotten the wrong ingredients or a totally different product. I don't know why it is so difficult to read and follow the order screen. Often times I go in and exchange the product, while other times I just throw it out and take a loss
Actually, as I write this review, I am dumping the hot drink I ordered down the drain. It tastes off. Like they poured the wrong drink, realized their mistake and emptied the wrong drink and poured in the correct drink; which then alters the taste of the drink I ordered. Is it that expensive to use a new cup?
Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location and very close to just not supporting Tim Hortons in general as it is becoming a common theme across...
Read moreAvoid this Tim Horton's if you can and try the other one in Fort York. The gas station one is a lie (and is not a full Tim Hortons). Also, hit or miss service, night time service might be slightly better and faster service.
The manager (who we think is the manager) and improper maintenance of the technology at this location made for a horrible experience. Note: We only did takeout of food and beverages. The manager did not believe anyone when we talked about our order being incomplete or late. The employee managing the delivery/counter tried to help us and picked up on the printed receipt that our beverages were not complete. The employee also got continuously denied by the manager stating that we were missing beverages. The manager refused to believe us, the customers, and asked 3 times after to clarify. The receipts also clearly indicated our beverage orders but still the manager asked us what to take in our coffee.
Additionally, the technology of the ordering system was broken. One did not have a working tap/payment. The other machine also did not send any beverage orders to the ordering management system in the back. The manager told us that they didn't receive any orders, while the helpful employee referenced the receipt to help us course correct.
Rating is based on great employees, great service from the food and beverage team. Food is consistent like other Tim Hortons which is good. Unfortunate, horrible service and turnaround speed. Horrible manager and absolute poor customer service from the manager as well. Also, there were no disinfecting process of the self-order kiosks either or monitoring the customer limit of...
