We live in Langley, and often dine in at BW langley or Surrey interchangeably for a quick, warm and yummy food with good service. So amidst all the choices of restaurants on Robson St, we still went to BW just to be safe. However, the taste of its food is as bad as their service. To injure the salt, we can't even wash our hands properly as they only have gel sanitizer in the shared BR. Once we went to the restaurant, we had to pay up front. The machine gives three tipping options. Considering all the good services we have had at other locations, I gave decent amount. After 10 mins wait, I asked the only server there, if she could get us some water. She said, do it yourself, I can only provide you cups. Wow, that was something I have ever heard of! You charged me up front, but now you telling us it's self-based service. Whatever, no biggie we got water ourselves. Waited 30 mins, we finally got our food, remind you we were the only customers at that moment. One dish we order was sauteed pork belly with cabbage. It should fresh be cooked with fresh pork belly, but the entire dish was made of cured meat making the dish too salt to eat. I ordered a hot pot. What a mistake! Look at the picture, it looked as someone's vomits and it tasted like one too. The portable hot pot stand was flaming hot, when I ask the server to put it out. She was going to let the flame out by pouring water on a propane based stand! Wow, what a joke! Everything went wrong and list goes on and on. The worst part to me personally was they only have gel hand sanitizer in that washroom. We all know hand sanitizer can't be replaced with hand soap. Im in shocked by the service we received as there was noun, and low standard considering BW is a well established franchise . I understand how difficult to run a restaurant because our economy and the competition out there. Yet providing the basic respect to your customers is the only way to help you in...
Read moreVery rude attitude. I love this place for over 5 years since it is a block away from my home. However, today there was a staff who was working in the night shift on Friday night (4th of October) with chin length hair, speaking Korean in black T shirt. When she asked a question for ice or sth and I and my friend didn't hear it clearly due to noise, but she frowned and repeated the question. I was already felt bad of her customer service but when my friend asked about what type of toppings they have , she didn't even answer, she just slapped the menu down and turned around talking to other korean staffs.
and lastly, when a drink is ready, there were some people at the pick up area so i went to the till area to get it but she kinda frowned and didnt even talk and gestured for us to come over where the crowded pick up area. and when we picked it up she immediately sat there and started playing w her phone. I really liked this place for years and especially love Sesame Bubble tea is my favorite. But I am very disappointed with customer service you guys have. I know the owner wasn't there so I understand employees are more flexible on their work.
But very rude and disappointed of her attitude. my friend got shocked too. as a customer who loves this place, i hope that the owner take this review into consideration when hiring employees.
I actually understand koreans that is why i know the person is speaking kor w co-workers. very shamed of...
Read moreI always enjoy watermelon slush here, so I visited the same place last week.
As usual, I ordered watermelon slush (my favorite) and I understood that it came out a little late because there were many people in the evening.
But I don't know if the slush I got was used spoiled watermelon or syrup, it tasted weird and I couldn't drink it. So I complained to the female staff and she called the male staff who made my watermelon slush.
This is the point I felt really bad about. I understand they're busy, but as soon as he heard that, the male employee looked annoyed and said it was because the watermelon was less sweet without even saying SORRY. I'm not a stupid who don’t know the difference between a less sweet watermelon and a spoiled watermelon. The taste was SOUR and SMELLED WEIRD.
So I said, "It's not less sweet, it's SPOILED," and he sighed and said, "Will I make it again?".
They can just say sorry then I can understand It can go bad in summer but your behavior made me feel so upset and I got a refund and just went out this store.
I won't go to this store again who don't know what the...
