Cora has been our regular breakfast spot for quite some time. My wife and I usually enjoy our meals here, and the food is consistently good. However, today’s experience left us both disappointed—not because of the kitchen mistake, but because of how it was handled. We ordered our usual breakfast. My plate came out just fine, but my wife's meal was not what she ordered. The bacon was undercooked and the eggs were overcooked. She didn’t touch her food and set the bacon aside, clearly unhappy with it.
The server walked by several times, saw that my wife wasn’t eating, but never asked how the food was or if everything was okay. Even when we asked for the bill, there was no question or concern about the untouched plate or whether something was wrong.
The restaurant wasn’t busy, and there was plenty of staff, so there was no excuse for the lack of attention.
We understand that mistakes in the kitchen happen—that’s normal. But how the staff handles those situations matters. A simple check-in could have made all the difference. Instead, it felt like no one cared.
We’ve always loved coming to Cora, but after this visit, my wife has no desire to return. Not because of one bad plate, but because of how the situation was ignored. Great food alone isn’t enough—good service and attentiveness are just as important, especially when a tip is expected.
We hope management takes this seriously and ensures staff are properly trained to engage with customers and handle issues...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Cora Cora, a charming restaurant nestled in the heart of Robson Street. From the moment I stepped in, I was enveloped by an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that is hard to come by these days. The first thing that struck me was the affordability of their menu. Despite the low prices, the quality of the food was nothing short of excellent. Each dish was a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs, who have clearly mastered the art of creating delicious vegetarian cuisine without compromising on taste or presentation. The service was another highlight of my visit. I was served by Susan, whose friendly demeanor and attentive service greatly enhanced my dining experience. She was prompt, efficient, and always ready with a smile, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. The overall experience at Cora Cora was exactly what I had hoped for. The combination of delicious food, affordable prices, and exceptional service left a lasting impression on me. It’s not often that you find a place that gets everything right, but Cora Cora has managed to do just that. I will definitely be returning to Cora Cora more often. It’s a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Vancouver. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and give Cora Cora a try. You won’t be...
Read moreI went to Cora based on the website suggestion "Vancouver Planner," as it was claimed as one of the spots for the best breakfast in Vancouver. If you look at the menu, the theme of the 90s is there, but in decor or in the music, you can not feel it. My experience started that I got an "outsider" table. It is a table where basically coming a border in service between 2 waitress and you hidden next to the wall. So, one person is not paying attention to you because it is not her table, and your waitress simply can not see you. I'm not much picky about it. Hence, I was okay with my book. But food... the quality of ingredients is great. Huge amount of fresh fruits, nice bacon, and eggs. But French toast... it was not a French toast. It was a cinnamon wheel. Extremely sweet cinnamon wheel. In the middle of my meal, I was in a dilemma, and I decided to put away the "toast" and just eat fruits. When I tried to eat it together- I felt only sugar from the toast, but no taste of fruits. It simply can be fixed by changing the cinnamon wheel to Brioche and soaking it in maple butter. The maple latte was pretty good and tasty. Overall, maybe I will be back to try something different from the menu and to change my opinion about the place, but...
