Great little place! Really happy with the food and service. My friend tried their Level 5 spicy noodles and they weren't kidding when they said it was crazy hot. I had the half seafood/jajangmyeon noodles and we shared some fried chicken in sauce. Portions quite large for the price. Ended up stuffed like thanksgiving turkeys before rolling home. Their English is a bit limited but the service is otherwise warm and friendly- even the Chef came out to say hi and chat for a little bit. After we finished eating the kind Ahjumma gave us some free bananas to snack on to aleviate the spiciness. Safe to say we'll be returning in future as it's now a favourite little spot for us. :)

Very authentic Korean Chinese food! Staff was friendly and kept giving us the yellow radish! Hey the half and half bowls for the best of both worlds! Update sep 2019: this is the first time I’m back at the restaurant after remodelling! The renovations look modern and sleek, service was great and food was great as usual! One thing I have to point out is that seating is pretty peculiar and I think more seats could be freed up with better planning. For example, it is odd to have a customer table right beside the entrance, and the space between the bar area and the seats behind it is very tight, making it hard to travel to the bathroom.

Authentic and freaking delicious! The flavours are appropriately rich and I savoured every bite. They seem to be most popular for their fried pork with sweet and sour sauce (aurgh I have yet to learn the Korean names!), and black bean sauce with pork on noodles dishes -the two I tried first. I love that they also have spice levels because I love spice. The second time I visited I had similar noodles, but pan fried version, and fried chicken with spicy garlic sauce. Casual setting, small restaurant, larger groups may have to wait, pairs can sit at the bar, service is friendly, and wait time for food is reasonable.

The overall food is 3/5, service is 0/5.

TLDR; Waiter and Waitress made up things and began bombarding my table with condescending questions. The overall service of this restaurant is TERRIBLE. GO AT YOUR RISK!!!

The poor service started as soon as we walked in, I walked in around 11:40am ( I went early as I knew this was small restaurant so I came in early to try and get a table ) to get table of 5. We were told there was only 1 table available that can seat 5, however a party of 2 was already seated there. The waitress offered to seat us 3 and 2 which I agreed.

Arguments than ensued:

  1. When my party arrived the waitress yelled at the two people who tried to sit down at the table and said, "No, you can't sit there you need to sit by the door." They table was setup for them so I was confused why they weren't allowed to sit there.

  2. I ask if we could be move to the table for 5 as they people had left the waitress agreed, however when we moved she said in a b*tchy tone, "Did I say you could move there?"

  3. The waiter who had just walked in and said in a condescending tone, " Do you have a problem?" They began speaking in Korean and the guys in a b*tchy voice starts yelling at our group, clearly omitting facts that occurred.

  4. One of our meals didn't arrive when we asked the waiter where the food was he started on about the seating again saying did you yell at the waitress about the seats. At this point I was fuming and told him all the facts then he just ignored me and said that we ordered was after everyone came in, which was untrue as all of our other food had arrived already.

The overall service of this restaurant...

I came here once before Covid, and felt disappointed for the dinner experience and service.

The space of the restaurant is not very big. We sat at a small table, where is very very close to the one nearby, as if we came toghther. The people next to us kept talking and laughing loudy since coming, you could hear their voice in the whole restaurant, that's almost ruinning our dinner.

We explained the situation to the waitress and asked for seating change to the bar table, she allowed but said, "this time is okie, it's not allowed next time." What? We didn't request for the change unrasonably, why the customer who just have basic dining requirement is "unallowed", and the customers who kept effecting others are "allowed". Are we in a public location and should respect others?

I am not complaining about the customers, since I came to eat and had expectations on the restaurant, not other customers. But I hear no Sorry after all this happen, and was told not to do next time?!

It's really an unhappy and disappointed experience, will never come back . No comment...

Food is great. Their sweet and sour pork has a thin crispy layer of fried breading, and the size of the pork they used was a decent pork cutlet size. I say this because lots of Korean restaurants serving sweet and sour pork cover a tiny amount of pork in layers of breading to increase the portion. Also no pork smell - good job!

Noodles were also great, but if you order spicy level 3+, you are looking for trouble. I ordered level 4 without knowing what's coming and I thought I was gonna faint. The staff actually told me that a few non Korean customers tried to finish level 4 or 5 and threw up. (They have up to level 10). If you're looking for a solid Jambong noodle, then just pick level 1.

Service could be a little better. They asked us to wait outside as soon as we walked in without letting us know how long the wait time was. They also didn't serve the sauce that comes with tang su yuk (sweet and sour pork) until all the dishes came out + 5 more minutes and by then, my family were just dipping the pork in...
