Title: Disappointing Experience: Missing Items from Order

I recently ordered from [Homa Grill Restaurant ], and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Two crucial items were missing from my order, which significantly diminished my enjoyment of the meal.

Despite eagerly anticipating my delivery, I was dismayed to find that two [Ground beef kebab] were absent from the package. This oversight not only left me hungry but also deeply disappointed in the restaurant’s lack of attention to detail and quality control.

Furthermore, attempting to address the issue with the restaurant proved to be fruitless. The customer service response was inadequate, showing little concern for the inconvenience caused to me as a paying customer.

As someone who values promptness and accuracy in service, I find it unacceptable to receive such subpar treatment from [Homa Grill Restaurant ]. I expected better, especially considering the reputation the establishment claims to uphold.

In light of this disappointing experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend [Homa Grill restaurant ] to others. The absence of basic items and the lack of proper resolution have left a sour taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally.

I sincerely hope that [Homa Restaurant ] takes this feedback constructively and implements measures to improve their service standards in the future. Until then, I will be taking my...

Tot a while about doing a review and figured I’ll put this out there. No need for the owner to make things ‘better’ as I will never return and will not recommend to anyone as I was left with an uneasy feeling. As a pre Canuck’s meal. We looked at the menu outside for a few minutes and decided to try. The place was empty. We ordered a chicken shawarma and a chicken wrap. Initially, Price and portion was reasonable. Had hummus with the shawarma, there wasn’t very much and we wanted just little more. So I asked if I could get just a ‘bit’ more. But the gentleman there gave me a bowl, but told him it was way too much. But he said that’s ok! It’s good and I’ll like it! So I assumed it was on the house, but if he did charge for it, maybe it would be a few dollars? My partner walked over to a counter with tea, water and glasses, and served our own tea. I guess never assume, it would be on the house but maybe at most a $1? When we finished, I walked up to the cash register to pay and saw it displayed over $55! I tot it would be the last order from someone else. But it was mine! I felt quite taken, cheated, tricked? See my photos for receipt and food. $2.50 for tea? $10 for hummus? Wow! Maybe that’s why...

This is a poor restaurant with a very limited menu (although they try to pretend that this is not the case.) I made several attempts to buy lamb or beef in past days but I found out only tonight that they only serve these meats at lunchtime. (If even then? - I doubt it.) Chicken (the backbone and body of the "chicksploitation" that pervades our society today - that meat that "tastes good so we are willing forget the way in which the animals from which it is derived are treated. " Is all you are going to get here - sure it looks tasty on that gleaming overloaded rotisserie thing, but the fact is that there is no other choice here.

My cashier/server was good enough to go back to a rear kitchen and cook some falaffel for me - but it took considerably longer than he assured me it would and there was nothing generous about the wrap which he created for me (three fallafel,) and even though I requested as many extras as I could the wrap was skimpy - anemic. This was supposed to be the big deal - the breakthrough time when I actually ordered/ate the food from this place - big let down - I will certainly...

Stopped in for a quick supper meal as this restaurant is cafe style, meaning you select from a counter and pay. Dining area is small but expected for the type of service provided. Two of us ordered the Chicken Shawarma, one with cucumber beet salad and Tzatziki and the other with cucumber salad and Hummus. The meals also came with rice and pita bread. The chicken was shaved off of a rotating spindle. It was very flavourful. Portion size was ample. The beet salad could have used more beets it was mostly cucumbers. They advertised free Iraqi style tea but were not offering it due to Covid. I appreciate that we could not serve our selves the tea but do think the server could have poured cups for those who asked. Also they did not garnish with any olives as done in past visits.

We ordered the Vaziri, and both kebabs were enjoyable. The koobideh was juicy with a pleasant texture and the chicken kebab was nicely marinated and tender. That said, the koobideh could’ve used a bit more salt, and the chicken was slightly saltier than we’d prefer. For dessert, we had kunafa with black tea. The tea had a lovely cardamom aroma but wasn’t hot and steamy as expected. The kunafa, on the other hand, was really good—crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. We asked for extra sauce, which had a nice saffron touch and complemented it well. The service was friendly, which added to the overall pleasant dining experience.
