Not what it was advertised when I came across it on my feed. In terms of visual representation, it didn’t look anything special versus other burger joints. The price I found pretty expensive for the portions that you get as I wasn’t satiated after having the “combo” which ran us a whopping “$32.74”.
The food itself from a taste perspective wasn’t bad but like I said, wasn’t anything special. I ordered their “Smash Burger” and was told it was sold out, how do you run a burger shop where an item is sold out? Especially when it wasn’t busy so instead got the “Nashville Hot Chicken burger” and it was underwhelming in terms of spice and it was more of a kid’s burger due to the fact that they had chicken tenders as the patty, pretty unoriginal and messy if you ask me. The poutine as well wasn’t all that as well for them charging $7 when I could get better from costco.
My biggest ding here on giving it 3 stars and no more is the service. Going on a Sunday mid day, there was maybe 1/2 other customers amongst 4 workers and we felt rushed by the cashier when reading the menu as she kept pestering us on what we wanted. That shows me the lack of customer service training, especially when it wasn’t busy. The atmosphere isn’t special as well aside from it being clean which is a standard; The TVs were stuck on the wifi connection screen, the workers just went through the motions and I didn’t see any diversity in terms of race of workers, reminded me of a Tim Hortons.
Overall 2/5, decent food would’ve made it 3+ but definitely not what...
Read moreI’ve visited this establishment twice now, with my first experience a few years ago being quite positive. Unfortunately, my recent visit left me disappointed. My friend, who has been a loyal customer, joined me as we ordered two burgers as meals with poutine, tornado fries, and milkshakes.
One aspect that stood out during our visit was the staggered service of our meal. Ideally, when ordering a meal, all items should be served together so that the experience can be enjoyed as a whole. However, our burgers and poutine were served first, followed by the tornado fries after a considerable wait, and finally, the milkshakes arrived some time later. I believe it would enhance the dining experience if all items were served simultaneously.
Regarding the food quality, the poutine was fresh and warm, which was appreciated. However, both burgers were disappointingly cold, suggesting they may have been sitting for a while before being served. Although the servers kindly reheated the burgers for us, it was not the ideal experience. The tornado fries, though freshly made, did not meet our expectations in terms of taste. On a positive note, the poutine and milkshakes were delightful.
In conclusion, while there were some highlights, the overall experience was not satisfactory enough for me to consider returning. I understand the effort that goes into preparing meals, but customers expect quality and consistency, especially when paying with their...
Read moreWe were running errands and craved hamburgers in the area. Saw the good reviews for this place and thought to give it a try. At the beginning, we just wanted to take hamburgers to go but then decided to have a quick dine in as we still had to run more errands. I think I would’ve given 4 stars if we were just taking out. The hamburgers were delicious. We tried the juicy Lucy and the cheeseburger. The tornado fries and their onion rings were tasty too but the restaurant itself was a different story. A very small store for a burger place which has seats available to dine in. The store was filthy. No covid restrictions or control what so ever. They don’t even ask for vaccination proof and when I automatically showed them the proof, they didn’t even look at it or asked for an id. They didn’t ask for it from anyone else. Two customers came in with no masks, stayed in line for 10 minutes with about less than half a meter from our table and placed their order with no problem! The capacity of the store was 20 people based on the note posted on the entrance. There was no control on that and in that little place, at any given time, there was more than 25 people there. Being short staffed was playing a role in all of these problems. They were trying to be patient and pleasant but clearly overwhelmed and over worked. If they address these issues, we will definitely go there to pick up...
