Lounge opens at 12pm. At 2:20 I went to the lounge and asked to be seated at a couch because my husband was injured. Waitress with brown hair said those are reserved for large groups and they start getting full at 3pm. (It was only 2:20pm) I pointed out that the lounge is almost empty and people sitting at couches are either couples or a single man on a computer. She still said no and said they’ve been there for hours and hours. (But yet you open at 12???) she offered a table with chairs that was to the right as soon as you walk in. I told her that wouldn’t work and she refused to accommodate us. She would rather turn money away than allow someone injured to sit. We’ve been coming here and staying at the hotel for at least 6 years in row. The hotel says Gibbons owns the lounge. Gibbons is joke. We were welcomed by a bubbly young lady names Mikayla, all the way from Brisbane, Australia. (She's a Brisbane Broncos supporter - but we won't hold that against her ;))
Over the years, we've visited FireRock many times and have always loved it. The food, drinks (especially the cocktails), and the atmosphere is simply fantastic. It's easily one of the best spots in town.
This time, the amazing Mikayla made our visit even more memorable. It's great to see someone who clearly enjoys what they do and brings that energy to every interaction.
We'll definitely be back again this week, FireRock.
Thanks again, Mikayla, for your...
