On April 22nd my partner and I came to Westin resorts for his birthday. We wanted to book an RMT appointment and have our benefits cover that. We had two options: Scandinave Spa or The spa at Whistler (inside Westin). The other option had 8.30 pm appointments and therefore, since it is also inside the hotel, we decided to book with the spa at whistler. We booked our appointment weeks in advance, and made sure that it was going to be an RMT appointment that we can claim to our benefit provider. The person on the phone even reassured us that it is and we can later claim it to our insurance provider and we made sure that many times over the phone.
After our treatment, my partner wanted to pay for me as well and i made comment saying “lets pay seperately so we can claim it to our provider”. The front desk person overheard my comment and said our session was not done by an RMT and we cannot reimburse it. We were both shocked and disappointed. They didn’t even care about the mistake that day made which costed us $175.09 for me with the tip + $152.25 because he didnt leave a tip out of his frustration and I wish I didnt too. I dont want Michelle and my partners massage therapist to personally take it - they were both great but we are really frustrated at the business and the front desk people who didnt even acknowledge the problem and provided good customer service. They completely avoided eye contact and just put POS machine in front of us. We could have gone to the scandinave spa regardless of the time that they offered us because it was licensed RMT and we could havs reimbursed it.
Really disappointed and frustrated - save your money and go to somewhere else where you can get good customer service and...
Read moreMy husband and I were in for a pedicure on Friday, October 10th at 2:30. We were with staff member Faith. I am not sure where to start. Faith was very pleasant and did want to do her best. Faith started with me at 2:30 and finished just before 4:00 pm. I was getting a bit impatient. First if all the pedicure is to include exfoliation and a massage. If you call a few minutes of an easy rub an exfoliation well then I had it. I did not get a massage nor did I have any lotion applied. The selection of nail colors is very poor. She then started on my husband while continually looking at the clock. We had to tell her not to rush. The exfoliation for my husband was very similar to the one done before me. While he did get a massage it was very limited. I do not normally write a review however this time is warranted. The price for both was a ridiculous amount of $220 plus tax. This was a very unsatisfactory experience and we would not return nor will we recommend this Spa for a pedicure. We did tip Faith as she did try hard but in hindsight the tip was too much for what we got. In the end, I would, as a VERY unhappy guest, request reimbursement of some of the cost for this truly...

The RMT session was fantastic - I had Tara who was super attentive to what I asked to work on, was awesome to work with and overall an amazing RMT experience with her.
The “Spa” part of the experience was lacking. I’ve been to other Spas in Whistler for RMT sessions (Nita Lake Lodge Spa, Scandinave Spa) who offer great RMT sessions and an amazing experience on the environment, facilities and amenities that were included in the Spa for use.
The Spa @ Whistler was disappointing on amenities. You are checked in the Spa area, but hold all your items in the general hotel locker room downstairs. You have access to the pool, fitness centre, steam room and sauna that are the shared hotels amenities. The whole place was loud and packed with people and kids playing in the pool (which is fine, just not the spa experience I was picturing). There was no room in the pool to hang out and no places to sit and relax - I ended up sitting in the lobby.
I paid $250.00 for the RMT here - I don’t think it’s worth the price compared to other places around Whistler that offer way more amenities, for a...
