The only bad part of our entire trip was at this establishment. We got a pitcher of sangria to start as we had just come from a restaurant. The sangria was delicious. About 10 minutes in an elderly man climbed on to the table next to us and tried to start raving, the staff dispatched him quickly and it was over. This is not really a problem. Now fast forward it is about 10 minutes after that and a large table of men behind us decided to buy themselves a champagne shower, which was loud and consists of a bottle of cheap champagne in a gold machine gun looking thing that turns the booze in to a super soaker. We watched, we moved as obviously far forward as possible, signifying we would not like to get hit. Our corner of the seating are was empty except for us. Moving on,not even 5 minutes later two more of these things come out with an entourage of staff and these guys proceed to stand on their chairs and shoot their table and then us, directly. Considering we were dressed up in our expensive clothing and personal effects (they sprayed my mulberry bag.), we were not thrilled. Immediately afterwards several other patrons that were not from their table came over to say how sorry they were that that had happened, and that it was rude and uncalled-for. We had had zero interaction with these people prior to. We did not complain even after this, I simply hunted down a server to ask that they please make sure we don't get sprayed again. She didnt even say sorry just nodded and walked away. Two dudes from the table, after other patrons told them how terrible they had just been, came over and the first put his arms around us and he groped my side, offering a bunch of lame excuses and offers to buy us our drinks. As soon as the excuses started my boyfriend just told him to go and stay away, he was mad because hes now covered in this stuff and we are a long walk back to the hotel. After this, the group of middle aged men started to mock us loudly. This is when their employer or prospective partner-we didn't catch which- came over and properly apologized and said he would like to take care of our bill and that this was a business trip from Texas, they are getting too rowdy and it shouldn't have gone this way. That was fine and in the end we had a great time at a different bar.
My complaint is with this establishment, regarding the flippant way we were disregarded and ignored by their staff. The rudeness of the server that smirked at me when I asked very nicely after having to hunt her down to please make sure we don't get sprayed again. This is service I would expect from a dive bar in chilliwack, not a mountain view bar in whistler.
You should be embarrassed, we are embarrassed for you.
Also, i am 35 and looked to be the youngest person in that place at 7 pm. It was FILLED with balding men...

Read moreI am extremely disappointed about my visit to Longhorn saloon and would never recommend it to anyone I know. As someone who has worked in the hospitality for over 5 years I would never treat my customers the way I was treated today. I have never had such rude and terrible service as I experienced here. I was having an amazing night as it was my birthday and received amazing and friendly service from a bar across the street and then decided to try this place because it seemed like a fun place to have some drinks. The second I got greeted at the door the guy with a UK accent was extremely rude. I had quickly mentioned it was my birthday (not expecting a huge deal or anything) and he quickly mentioned that he did not care whatsoever which should have been my cue to leave because that was extremely rude and a huge red flag but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. And then I had gone to the bathroom and my husband was sitting at a table alone and ordered our drinks. The waitress was very friendly until he mentioned he had a wife and that we were probably just staying for the one drink as it had been a long day. When he mentioned that, she immediately became rude and the service was awful. Shortly after I got back to the table she brought our drinks, threw them on the table without saying one word and then turned to chat with a table of men behind us. At this point i knew I wasn’t having anything else and wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. Being in the hospitality industry, it is your job to be friendly to your customers, otherwise you shouldn’t be doing the job. I have never been treated as a customer as badly as I was tonight and I will not be returning or recommending...
