GLC Pub in Whistler, BC, is an absolute gem that deserves all the praise it gets! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both cozy and vibrant. The decor is tasteful and reflects the unique charm of Whistler, making it the perfect spot to relax after a day on the slopes or to kick back with friends on a casual evening. The staff at GLC Pub are exceptional – always friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make your experience memorable. Their knowledge of the menu and local brews is impressive, and they’re always ready with great recommendations, ensuring that you find something you'll love. Speaking of the menu, the food is absolutely delicious! Whether you're in the mood for a hearty burger, fresh and flavorful salads, or their renowned pub classics, every dish is prepared with care and quality ingredients. The variety and creativity in their offerings are truly commendable, and the portions are generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. The drink selection is equally impressive, with a fantastic array of local and international beers, expertly crafted cocktails, and an excellent wine list. There's something for every palate, and their rotating specials keep things exciting for regulars. What sets GLC Pub apart is its lively yet comfortable ambiance. It’s the kind of place where you can have a lively night out or a laid-back evening – the best of both worlds. The live music and events they host add an extra layer of entertainment, making each visit unique and enjoyable. Overall, GLC Pub in Whistler is a must-visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and experience the fantastic food, drinks, and unbeatable atmosphere. Five stars all the way!

With friends and family it is the best place to have a meal. It’s a spacious restaurant with lots of seating options - either at the tables or bars, at the bar itself or in the middle of the cafe watching the skiers outside or the winter sports videos on the wall TVs. The restaurant has a split level and it is fun to watch a colorful array of sport attire on people and a large variety of food served next to your sitting place. We ordered a wild mushrooms and truffle soup, an ahi crunch roll, and ahi poke bowl. Wow! What a wonderful presentation and fresh taste! Mushroom soup was very savory and was accompanied by 2 crispy bread slices. The restaurant was very busy, it took about 25 minutes before our food arrived. Meanwhile, we were served with water and my tea pot arrived within 5 minutes. It is actually very good to have time and a hot tea before the food - making the meal more anticipated and joyful. The music played was very active, making you want to get up and dance. Awesome food and overall experience! If we would have more days at Whistler, we would definitely come here again! Hope you will too!

Enjoyed our prime rib cheeseburgers, Crispy Crudité appetizer, chamomile tea, kids pizza, hot chocolate, and warm flourless brownie, and received very kind service—but we reserved a fire pit table (for an extra fee) hoping to watch the Fire and Ice show from this location over dinner. Let’s be clear, there is no view of the show from these tables—only a view of the wild dance rave happening at the bar across the way. As long as it is made clear that someone will have to remain at the table (lest they seat another party there thinking you have left), while everyone is standing to watch the show from the opposite deck…and if you don’t mind the competition for which establishment can play the loudest music, then the fire pit tables are a comfy and happening place to ‘see and be seen’ while reflecting on the day’s skiing adventures.

One of the many more casual spots in Whistler for grabbing a drink and some food, this spot features a fairly extensive patio on the second floor of a building, offering some pretty solid views of the surrounding area.

My girlfriend and I arrived at around 530 on a Sunday and were seated pretty promptly, although it was still very busy. While our pleasant server greeted us fairly promptly, it was a solid 15 minutes before I got the beer I ordered. We did get an apology for that, so that was appreciated.

We had come for dinner - I ordered their signature bacon cheeseburger, and my girlfriend got the flatbread special, which happened to be a bacon mushroom goat cheese recipe with arugula and balsamic dressing. The food was much more prompt than the drinks, and was quite tasty. I'd recommend substituting the waffle fries for the truffle frites.

That said, the food menu was fairly limited in its selection - I was asked whether I wanted a food menu when I arrived, which tells me this place is geared much more towards people who want a few drinks. Certainly nothing wrong with that, just something to anticipate when choosing a place to eat.

An additional critique I'll provide is that one of the heat lamps on the rather chilly patio was inoperative, which isnt ideal when you're up in the mountains on a relatively overcast day

As we got ready to leave, tracking down our server for the cheque proved to be a challenge - I dont really fault the server for this, but rather the establishment for not staffing adequately.

All in all, a mediocre experience. This wouldn't necessarily be my first choice upon my next visit...

I have visited GLC a few times now over recent years. The location is excellent, with nice views onto the ski slopes. The setting on their terrace by the firepits is one of the better places to sit with friends to have food and drink. I have always found the food to be quite good - tasty and generous portions. My main complaint with this venue is consistently the service. One year the server was in such a bad mood that every question or request was met with visible displeasure. More recently, our server was very nice. But, then she was hard to track down and we had to go and find her to be able to order a drink. Later on, one of our friends visiting from abroad, without thinking went to the bar and ordered a drink. When our server discovered this, that we had ordered from the bar and not through her (Which I appreciate likely affects her tip received, but she wasn't around and our friends ordered at the bar without thinking), her demeanour could not have changed more. She became quite unfriendly and got us out as quick as possible. She insisted she could not split the bill in any way, but couldn't give any reason. This was a disappointing end to a nice evening at the bar, especially as we had to pay $100 just for the booking fee, to have us laughing about how comically rude the...
