WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKIN!!!! WOW, I have lived here in Woodstock for over a year and all I hear about is Fritzies, Fritzies, Fritzies. They are so good everything is awesome blah blah blah. So I finally go there with my 2 sons who are 20 years old and my buddy who runs restaurants. I get a bacon cheeseburger and a banana milkshake..............$12....TWELVE DOLLAR! HOLY CRAP and remember the word crap cause its going to be used........A LOT! I watch the young girl open the fridge door and pull out this quarter inch former frozen premade Schneider's crap-burger and plop in down on the grill thinkin ..................that cant be mine, it must be for the dog, it looks worse then a Gainsburger, just to let you know a Gainsburger would have tasted better. Sure enough that IS a Fritzies burger, rubber crap, you couldn't care any less serving those to people and worse, you people are buying it ! The milkshake was nothing worth talking about, they are cheaper bigger and far far better at McDonalds. My buddy gets a bacon sandwich which ends up being 3 pieces of very thin back bacon on a garbage hamburger bun, like $7.00 talk about a rip off! The fries, not so good. So 4 of us ate half of our food, threw it out and then had the best idea yet, we went around the block to Union Burger! That's place has got it going on, STAY AWAY FROM FRITZIES IT JUST GARBAGE FOOD, EXPENSIVE AND A WASTE OF TIME MONEY...
Read moreWent there as a family tonight for an early supper. Price was reasonable, service was 50/50 and we sat outside. Here's my problem. I asked for a classic hamburger with everything on it and I get a small amount of diced onions with only mustard. Am I missing something? I have read other reviews where the owner has stated " just ask for it and we will put it on ". In what province does everything on a burger only entail onion and mustard? Its sheer cheapness on their part. Because by only giving you onion there cost for other ingredients doesn't rise and it's more profit. And my daughter got the chicken nugget kids meal and guess what? It was the dinosaur nuggets we buy from food basics. I can make them at home. $7 for 30+. The entire experience was sub par. The fries were okay but nothing spectacular. I will say the gravy is good.
To the owner: When a customer asks for everything on a burger it universally includes the following items
Lettuce Tomato Onion Pickle Ketchup and mustard
If you feel a customer should ask for this when requesting " everything " , then state that clearly on your menu and website. Or just say our "hamburgers come with only onion and mustard unless either wise requested"
Honestly fritzies is nothing special. Just a old establishment in a town that doesn't...
Read moreWe were in Woodstock and wanted Poutine, Fritzie's seemed to be the place.
Like that it is all original and the history is literally on the walls, definitely a cool old locals spot where you could easily see 3 generations of people all coming in for the same Canadian comfort food. a place that every small city like Woodstock needs!
I ordered a Regular french fry Poutine , my Fiance the Onion ring Poutine.
The onion ring Poutine was good, no complaints and she liked the fact that they use real cheese curds.
My French fry Poutine was not very good. I would say 90% of the fries were rock hard, to the point where you could barely use the supplied plastic fork to eat them LOL!
maybe it was just that batch, but i would give my Poutine a 3/10 and she said hers was 7/10.
I will return one day to give them a second chance on what was...
