José Ramón 277: Chopería & Sanguchería — Restaurant in Santiago

The place is awesome, they have great food (of course if you are vegan you can ask for “vegetariano” without olive mayo and it’s a pretty good sandwich) and a nice variety of beer craft. But I had a not so nice experience this last visit because a left my credit card in there (my fault) and I realized to the next day that I lost it because I had a charge in my balance (for few amount) from this place. So, I called to the restaurant and I talked with the manager and he told me they have my credit card but he could not explain who made that charge, so the manager apologized and gave me a sandwich for free (which was nice) but still I think I don’t feel comfortable go back to this place because I don’t know what kind of people work in there....

I am giving this place 1 star only and only for the service! I ordered takeout, 3 burgers, and when the time came to pick it up, they told me they needed about 5 minutes more. It took them an additional 25 min, while I had to wait outside the restaurant, in the cold. I asked 4 different servers about the status of my order and not a single one got back to me. Too bad, because the food is decent, but the service needs to seriously...

We just happened to come across this lovely restaurant by walking in Barrio Losterria. Lots of local venders selling their used items here and were being chased by the police. Many locals here. Ordered La Macheda. Yummy braised shredded beef with cream of corn, tomatoe and olive sandwich and x2 of their local 500 ml beer. It was scrumptious. Would have gone back if it were closer to our hotel. Thanks to the lovely...
