" new updates" Got a reply from the owner, this incident happend on 5 July 2023 (wednesday), the reason i suddenly wrote this review is that my friend suggested visiting this restaurant over this weekend, and this reminded me the very unpleasant experience, please check your cashier for the receipt record, we ordered one bowl of noodles and a plate of the summer rolls around 7:30pm, and for the limited menu and daily special, I only found out when i sat down at the resturant, but this information was not being found elsewhere. Its not that your staff had told me before i entered the resturant, also i expecially came here to try the crab thick rice noodles, and on wednesday, it was not available, to be honest, there weren't any other dishes that i want to try apart from that crab noodles.

Staffs were not helpful, first we were seated upstair at a table for two, but the spotlight was directly shined to my friends eyes, so I asked to change table but they said all other tables were "Reserved". So due to the spot light issue and table were too close to another table of customers, I moved our table and chairs a bit away the table adjacent to us, I was being told off for moving further because the empty table was "reserved". So the staff moved our table back to the original position. We were really unhappy about the service and the staff attitude, we quickly order two dishes so that we could have our dinner elsewhere and sit comfortably.

The food choice is very limited, the dishes I wanted to try were all daily special which mean you can only order those dishes on a specific day, so what's the point for me to eat there if I can't even get the food I want.

When we left the restaurant, all those "reserved" table were still empty. Really bad customer service, will...

Went to this resto suggested by my friend with another friend to celebrate her bday. . We ordered the following dishes to share: -Bap Xao Ey It consisted of corn, spring onion, dried shrimp and fried shallot. The corn smelled aromatic and tasted blissfully sweet.

-Ga Nuong It included grilled lime leaf chicken, sticky rice, lemongrass and peanut & sesame salt. The dish was served a bit cold, and the chicken was slightly dry.

-Prawn Goi Cuon It comprised prawns, rice paper, rice vermicelli, fresh herbs, cucumbers, pickles and chives. The Vietnamese spring roll were substantial and had an intense aroma. The rice paper had a pleasantly chewy texture.

-Sticky Wings The Vietnamese chicken wings were mixed with garlic, fish sauce, basil, onion and chili. They had slight spiciness, but the sauce was a bit salty.

-Banh Canh Cua It included a variety of ingredients, namely crab meat, crab cake, prawn, quail egg, duck blood, fish cake, straw mushroom and in-house tapioca noodles. The soup base was more on the sweet side.

-Banh Bo Nuong My favourite dish of the night. The Vietnamese baked honeycomb cake was topped with sago, coconut cream, sesame seed and peanut. It was creamy and the sweetness was on point. The sago enhanced the texture of the dessert. . Their soup noodles rotated daily, so u may want to do some research before going there. . Although the resto has two storeys, it's quite small and often has long queues. It is better to book in advance to prevent waiting. . The resto is decorated in Vietnamese street style and plays loud music, creating a rustic atmosphere. The neon lights were pretty as well. Special thanks to the staff who recommended the Banh Bo Nuong, which was a...

Not the first time I visited this restaurant. I used to come here for lunches. However, I would never come back again after the experience.

We got changed our table 3 times in 15 minutes. We were not already feeling satisfied with the poor management. I understood you want to allocate your customer better but WHY don't you arrange it better at the beginning instead of changing 1 group of customers constantly in such a short period of time? NO ONE on the planet would feel happy about such a move.

We ordered the food as soon as we arrived on the first table. We only got our drinks for 30 minutes. But people arrived later than us already had all their food on the table.

Checked with the waitress and she forgot to put our order in the system. She had to double confirm everything again. So ok. The night went even worse.

Later we got the food but it was NOT the food we wanted. They had to check with the kitchen again and offered the unwanted starter for free but we already ordered enough food for what we wanted.

So they offered us unwanted starter and dessert. Okay I was about to forgive not until the waitress reminded me at the end of the night with unfriendly face, 'Give us a good review'.

Yes that is why I am writing a review here. I am feeling not satisfied about the entire service. It is not about how much free tiny snacks you offer to the unhappy customers but more about the hospitality professionalism and attitude. Especially I am also coming from the same industry and I have to say this is my WORST dining experience of the year.

I will not recommend this restaurant to any people especially the food was just average. Unless you want to take a piss from them like...

I finally tried out An Choi, a Michelin Bib Gourmand spot that's been getting mixed reviews online. The decor is vibrant and fun, with colorful wall decorated with rattan baskets and blooms, foldable tables, plastic stools, and plastic cutlery that transport you straight to a bustling Vietnamese street market! While their Bahn Mi is popular, I opted for the soup noodles (which changes everyday), and today's special was 𝘽𝙪𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙢, a pork-based soup with fermented fish paste. This was a new experience for me, as I usually prefer beef soup noodles. The soup was lighter and more refreshing, packed with ingredients like roasted pork belly, squid, prawn, fish cake, and fish fillet. Love especially the buttery fish cake and crispy rich pork belly. As a whole, it’s interesting, but I can’t say I loved it or disliked it 😆. I think it could be a great option if you want something lighter or don't eat beef! The lunch set came with an appetizer, and I added $10 to upgrade to a pork spring roll. It was big, crispy, and full of fillings—delicious! However, it did have a bit of an oily smell, which might be due to the oil needing a change. Overall, An Choi offers a unique experience, especially for those looking to try something new or who want to experience Vietnamese street food vibe. 🏷️ 𝘚𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 / 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴 ___________________________ 🔎 @roamardtheworld #roamardtheworld_hk #roamardtheworld_food #roamardtheworld_vietnamese
