This Vietnamese restaurant have good food, and the decor is quite quaint and cozy.. it have a welcoming feel to the place,, but the service is truly terrible to say the least.

My friend and I sat down and we ordered drinks after about a 15 minute wait, and then the individual that took our drink orders did not remembered we had ordered the drinks.

We have to signal the waiter over at twice for whatever we needed, nevermind wanted. We sat at a table that had a picture window of sorts with a metal grill instead of glass. It was an opening in the wall between dining areas, and the staff kept peeking through the grill for whatever reason. Very rude, ill manner, impolite and very very unprofessional.

Every time a staff member peeks through the window, it was very disturbing and quite frightening because we did not expect it everyrime someone did it. We think it was to see if the guest have finished with the previous course yet, terrible.

The highlight of the restaurant was this robot caddy that moves around, also in front of this window. What Au Nam should do is put cameras on the robot caddy and have it patrol the dining area to see what all the staff is peeking for.

Everything have to be asked twice before we got it, and we even had to grab a few people's attention in order to get service.

Btw, the food is quite good, but the poor service took all the enjoyment out of the meal.

In order to get to the good food, one have to put up with a bit. For me, I would rather eat...

Wouldn't come back. Mediocre Vietnamese food made worse by the staff.

Ordered shrimp rice paper roll dish and vegetable dish, neither of which states it contains peanuts in the menu.

The shrimp rice paper roll dish arrives with peanuts embedded. Asked waitress to change due to peanut allergy. Waitress was very defensive and asserted that I should be the one to inform them of the peanut allergy before ordering and insisted it was not the restaurant's fault (not something the first line of customer service should assert). I pointed to the menu, no mention of peanuts. The waitress backed off her argument and agreed to change the shrimp rice roll to without peanuts.

Second waiter comes by quickly and said that the vegetable dish may contain peanut sauce and offered to change it to a garlic based version. Then he briefly mentions again we should inform them of peanut allergy before ordering. Again, told him there was no mention of peanuts in the menu.

The new dishes arrived. I was about to think... Fine, they changed the dishes so I will add a star back to the rating. Then comes a manager who lectures us that we should inform all restaurants of peanut allergy before ordering. Rather than giving the manager a lesson in tort, I said I would not have anticipated there would be peanuts if the menu does not mention it at all.

No apologies was given by the manager or any staff. A mediocre...

Allowed guests in VIP room to smoke indoors. Sitting next to this room meant our two babies were exposed to second hand smoke throughout the meal. Staff very defensive and denied this until one door was left open and we saw the smokers in action.

On Oct 29, our group of 10 including a 6 month old baby and two year old toddler were placed in a section of the restaurant that was next to a private room. In this room, the restaurant permitted their guests to smoke indoors, creating an unbearable smell of second hand smoke in our room. When we confronted the staff, they repeatedly said nobody was smoking. We eventually saw lit cigarettes when one of the staff left the door ajar. Even then the waiters all acted either ignorant or remained defensive. Eventually a manager named Bong finally admitted to guests smoking and apologised for placing our young children next to smokers after a long confrontation.

Extremely...

Beautiful interior but mediocre food and meh service. Went here because of it being mentioned in the Tattler but I don't know how it got on that list. The dining space is very nice and furniture, decor and especially tableware is pretty. Food was alright but not justifying the price. Pho bo was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. The fried rice was quite dry and with dry bits of chicken although presentation was nice. We ordered drinks and one arrived and we had to ask about the other after several minutes of waiting for the other. Then we were told they had run of ingredients and asked what else we wanted, just ridiculous! This is a place for local business people or more wealthy socialite women to enjoy lunch. If you're visiting and looking for good food it's not the right place.

The afternoon tea set here is really amazing. Everything is done well, great variety, very filling (but not overly so). HKD400 for 2 pax, which is a VERY competitive price when compared with hotels or others who offer the 'tiered' afternoon tea experience. Surprised not more people were there... Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very calm vibe and very spacious interior. 3/F of Lee Gardens Two at one end of the mall. [Jan 2025 update] Also tried their weeknight dinner. Surprisingly busy but still friendly and reasonably efficient service. The a la carte menu has a lot of variety and many unique dishes not normally found in mainstream Vietnamese cuisine restaurants. All very tasty. Non-alcoholic coolers are very creative and refreshing too.

Nicely decor Vietnamese restaurant in Causeway Bay. My friend and me try their special lunch set menu which turns to be a very good choice: 2 ppl for 1 price! Since I can't eat beef and so I have passed one of the appetizer roast beef skewer to my friend. I especially like their soup noodles with chicken and sprouts. it is sooo sweet! The big head prawn is also very good. The only disappointment is the french bread which comes w the prawn are not hot-warm. Well, their staff services do gains lots of marks - they are all very nice and serve us well. No need wait long to get a spare bowl or spoon. My friend and me both enjoy a lovely time.
