I’ve actually been to Campers many times over the years (since 2016) and a fan of the food! Now that they moved to the new location I wanted to bring my parents so that they could try it.

The minimum spend per person is $60 so we decided to order 2 dishes and some drinks. Before I finish ordering the waitress cuts me off to remind me of the min charge. But if she let me finish my order she would/should know that we meet the minimum.

The kitchen must’ve been over whelmed because we waited around 30 minutes for our food. Some tables that sat before us still didn’t get theirs while ones that sat down after us got food. Only figure there’s a mix up in the kitchen.

1 dish came and I patiently waited for close to 10 minutes to see if the 2nd dish would come. So we asked the waitress to check on it and she just said to just wait since everything is made it order. Well yes of course…but one dish came out and the other didn’t, so did they forget? Or give it to a different table? Like it’s getting close to 30 minutes now, maybe check it out? Should I have finished my food first while we wait?

I’m saying all this as a person who works in the restaurant industry. I understand there’s a lot going on but I also know mistakes can happen. I still love the food and still love the establishment. I just hope to not have another bad...

Extremely poor service. I came here for takeaway with my own boxes (as they allow it) and I had a bad experience from placing my order to getting my food. The man at the till couldn’t focus for the whole 30 seconds it took to place my order. When it was being prepared the staff there asked me to wait outside despite the whole restaurant being empty. I asked if I could wait inside as it was a hot day and they said I had to fill in my personal details to sit down in the restaurant and that I had to leave if someone needed the table (highly unlikely since the whole restaurant was empty). The entire time I was wearing my mask and had a normal body temperature and I didn’t even need to sit down, I just didn’t want to stand in the heat. He kept saying it’s okay you can stay but you have to use the LeaveHomeSafe app. I rebutted that nobody pays outside or places their order form outside even for takeaway so whatever rule they are imposing makes absolutely no sense.

When my order came my egg was missing and they just dumped my boxes on the table without saying anything. When I asked where my egg was they unapologetically emerged from the kitchen with my egg in a paper cup, completely defeating try purpose of bringing my own boxes.

The Quarry Bay branch on the other hand is amazing! Will only eat campers in quarry...

Visited the Tin Hau shop with family around noon today, not busy and full yet, we ordered 3 meal sets (2 adults and 2 kids)for sharing, the waitress took our orders and came back saying that we haven't meet the minimum charge, so we intended to order some side dishes and an extra rice ($4 stated on menu). However, the waitress kept saying we cannot order an extra rice at $4.. the reason was that the extra rice order has to be made at the time when we ordered the meal set....otherwise, any extra rice would be charging $12 instead!!! What a non sense policy or just the waitress being difficult, no idea but start discounting my expectation on the restaurant.....After I placed all the orders and fulfilled the minimum charge, the waitress collected my menu and also grasped the menu from my kids' hand out of sudden, i was shocked by her way of serving customers...I asked for the menu again on purpose, she just handed to me from her back, without any courtesy. After all, the lunch in 坐忘 today is a bad experience, no comments on the quality of food for we are already very " impressed" by the services it...

This restaurant is known for being a popular spot for Japanese-style curry, but honestly, the food isn’t special. The price is fair, but the quality is below average. I ordered the slow-cooked pork curry, and it was disappointing. The pork cartilage had almost no meat—just fatty parts, making up over 90% of what was served. Mixing it into the curry created an unpleasant, greasy texture. The curry sauce itself was basic and overly sweet. Pork cartilage is commonly used in Japan, Korea, and France, but it’s rare to see a place serve such low-grade, mostly fatty cuts. Over the years, I’ve felt the overall quality of food in Hong Kong has declined, but paying for something this inedible was frustrating. It makes me wonder if Hong Kong still deserves its reputation as a food paradise when people are lining up for this kind of meal.

Always a good time here, and always a queue. I came in pretty early, around 6:30 and still had to wait 15 minutes before getting a seat. Anyways, they're famous for their curry and their spectrum of vegetables that come with their curry. But today I decided to have something a bit different as I've sampled much of the menu already. I had the wasabi sauced pork cartilage with white rice. It came with fresh salad in lieu of their famed vegetables. What really surprised me was the wasabi sauce. It was quite strong and salty, but paired very well with the pork cartilage and rice. I could have had endless amount of the sauce and pork, had I had an endless supply of rice. This is definitely a sleeper item and I recommend others who have had most of the menu already to give this one a try.
