Coucou Hotpot‧Tea Break - Hysan Place — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Food was great but the service & cleanliness were not.

Bowls, plates & utensils they gave us were greasy and have residues of food on them. We asked for new ones but not much of a difference. When i wiped my bowl and plate with wet tissue i can see red stains of oil on them. 🤢

Staff were not friendly at all. I asked one of the waitress to take a picture of us. She didn’t smile a single bit nor did she do the countdown nor asked us whether the picture was good. She just left immediately after handing the phone to us with just 1 picture in it. This is not how they’re suppose to treat their customers 🙄

I ordered bubble tea but it took them so long to make it. I sat near the bubble tea corner so I could see the barista there making the drink and they’re just playing their phones after I made my order. I asked the waiter about my bubble tea as it has been 10 mins and i still can see that my bubble tea hasn’t been made. Even after that i see no progress until i had to call the second waiter. The bubble tea eventually was served after all the food was served and we already start eating 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m giving them 1 star just because the soup base was great. If i were to eat this again I wouldn’t choose to eat it in...

This is good place few good friends gather for a leisure hotpot lunch in the middle of winter. Pot soup base is good, foid average no surprises, service 🤔 short staff, but they try to be attentive! High point is the place situated in high style place Hysan in the heart of CWB, 14/F away from busy lunch crowds. We reserved a private room for 6, no minimum charge only need to order a special 3 kinds of soup base served in a bass pot, nice! Taiwan beer 28/bottle, we had a dozen with more than enough food started with 3 appetisers, hot pot we ordered assorted beef plate, pork, chicken, veggie mushroom basket, different types of in house meat balls…… hkd 300/ person for 2 1/2 hour quiet enjoyable lunch in a setup like that, putting all things in conservations, it’s worth...

I checked Google Maps and saw that the closing time was 1 AM, so I visited around 10:27 PM. One of the staff members saw us but ignored us and walked away. A bit later, a female staff member, who seemed to be a server, came out and told us that they were closed. When I pointed out the operating hours, she said that the last order was at 10:30 PM, so we couldn’t have a meal. At that moment, it was exactly 10:30 PM. Considering the time we were ignored and left waiting, we had arrived with enough time to eat, yet we were denied service. It’s hard to understand why the last order is at 10:30 PM when the closing time is 1 AM, and the staff’s response was quite unfriendly, which left us...
