Hidden Gem in Central Hong Kong We discovered it while walking along the antiques market on Cat street. After several days of eating too much salt, grease and traditional HK dishes, my body was beyond happy to feast on some (guaranteed) healthy goodness. I can't even begin to describe the deliciousness of the food. We ordered several appetizers along with our main courses and every one of the dishes was so flavourful, I couldn't believe they were cooked healthily. We also tried 4 (yes four) juices between the 2 of us. They were So good that we wound up buying 5 boxes of her specially made pure powders to take home with us. As a matter of fact, we had a friend, just last week, who was stopping over in HK, pick up a couple more boxes for us. Vivi, the owner is actually a food consultant, with years of experience about the fundamentals of proper nutrition and also an expert chef. She's has a wealth of knowledge to share, so ask her anything about proper diet and/or cooking techniques. Full of enthusiasm and passion for providing support to people choosing a healthy lifestyle, she will oblige you if not inspire you(as she did us) As for her powders, they are the real thing, pure and clean. If you have a moment and care, ask her why and how she came to create them. Very moving story. Definitely get to Dandy's Organic Cafe if you want to enjoy Pure, Clean and Flavourful...

Fabulous incredible Gluten free lunch! Wow 🤩 I was so so Happy and glad to find this lovely cafe -after three weeks struggling to find things to eat on my Asia trip! (Everything elsewhere was marinaded in soy throughout Asia .. but not here!)

The Dandy’s sweet soy (gf) chicken dish was absolutely delicious! The gluten free beer most welcome and great to have on such a hot day . My partner (who isn’t coeliac )had the gf fish and chips.he loved it! I tried the fish and it was such a light crispy batter and tasted awesome too! Lastly, the beetroot chocolate dessert was sooo tasty too!! I was giddy with excitement having been able to eat a fabulous meal!!! Such a comfort to know the food was such good quality and safe!!! Worth every penny! The work that goes into producing meals like this and the care and passion shows and hope they get lots of support. Loved the way the food was also for other dietary requirements and blood types and more !! What an amazing restaurant! Could not fault the food it was SOOOOOO YUMMY!!! Was so so happy !! Highly recommended..You won’t be...

Chose this cafe on a random walk in as the organic and fresh produce used on menu caught my eye. Food was decent. My friend and I decided on the bacalhau which arrived promptly. The 2 stars does not reflect the food but the service of the lady who seated us and took our order. The vibe we felt was unwelcoming and she explained what was in the sauce before walking off and stepping back to explain the rest... the restaurant was empty. In a rush maybe? After months of lockdown and many businesses closing you’d think service in a prominent area with expats and tourists would offer better service than local areas. Yes we brought a drink from outside and was happy to place it aside however, the staff should keep her hands off our drink - we don’t know what you’ve touched and isn’t it all about cleanliness right now?? There’s enough restaurants in HK to try just once, unfortunately you’ve lost my future business and sometimes you only...

I love Dandy’s. Everything is 100% GF/Celiac Safe, but aside from the comfort that brings, it’s a gorgeous little spot in the middle of Upper Lascar Row. The food is creative and provides many options from ‘standard western fare’ (like burgers or fish and chips), to warm vegan salad or gado gado, and starters like crispy tofu or fish cakes. The combination of such varied options and being truly celiac safe is perhaps a reflection of one of the chef’s Australian roots. True to their ideals, the desserts are very low in sugar. It’s an ideal I aspire to, but these can be a bit too un-sweet for me. But I keep coming back, and going well out of my way to enjoy it on a regular basis! A real gem in Hong Kong.

I came to Dandy's during the weekend as I was craving a good salad. The waitress recommended the set menu for the day, which included tea, beetroot soup, and steak salad, and I went for it. The beetroot soup is quite good. Flavourful and well-balanced. The salad is not as good as I hoped it could be. It's kind of plain in terms of the mix of texture and dressing. The steak is fine, though. Other vegetarian-friendly options and dairy-free desserts are on the menu, which looks quite attractive. I guess I will pay another visit to try those.
