The food was beautifully presented, and the staff were incredibly friendly! While we waited for our friends, the staff kindly brought over the menu and introduced us to their signature dishes.
🥢 What We Ordered: APPETIZERS Bombay Duck Fish Flavored with Five Spices and Chili A bold start to the meal—though the flavor was quite different from what you'd find in smaller restaurants.
Chilled Marinated Bailing Mushroom A large mushroom, sliced and served cold with wasabi and soy sauce. Refreshing and flavorful. Must try!
Deep-Fried Cashew Nuts and Shredded Taro One of their signature dishes. The honey-glazed cashews and taro were super crispy, though a bit too sweet for my taste.
SOUP Coconut Soup with Abalone and Minced Pork Dumpling A delicate and nourishing broth that blends the natural sweetness of coconut water with the savory richness of handmade pork dumplings. Yummy!
MAINS Baked Crab Shell Stuffed with Crabmeat and Onion The shell was crispy and packed—really packed—with fresh crabmeat. I couldn’t help but wonder how many crabs went into each portion! Must try!
Peking Duck A bit pricey, but it comes with a second course. You can choose from sautéed minced duck with lettuce, duck fried rice, or duck fried noodles.
Simmered Seasonal Vegetables with Minced Fish in Fish Broth Featuring fish curd—an airy, mousse-like delicacy made from finely blended fish paste. Each piece was almost as big as the small bowl we were using!
DESSERT Dessert Sampler A trio of mini treats: baked egg custard tart, chilled sago cream with mango and grapefruit, and a honey-glazed egg twist with black sesame. I’m not usually a dessert person, but I loved the egg twist—crispy on the outside, tender and airy inside.
We’re already planning to come back and try the Steamed Chicken with Shredded Red Date and Pickle Served in a Bamboo...
Read moreDynasty is located within Renaissance hotel, offering traditional HK disappointed, including few dim sum items. Some of my family members in HK claimed it to be one of the best restaurants in Hong Kong. Certainly when I walked into the restaurant, I was amazed by their incredible interior and dining space, also had the view of the harbor. They have huge dining hall that easily fits few hundred guests.
We ordered pearl shrimp dumplings, crab cake, roasted duck and waygu beef noodles soup for our meal. All the items had amazing flavor. Roasted duck had delicious crispy skin. I had never seen waygu beef in a soup dish before. The soup was mixed with vegetables, little spicy, but full of flavor.
The service was top notch at the restaurant. All the staff members were super attentive, making sure water glasses/ tea cups were full all the time, cleaning out empty dishes and helping guests with all other requests. Dishes were served in short time, only the baked crab cake took long. The restaurant also gives 20% discount Marriott Bonvoy members. They also have some half priced dishes for Bonvoy...
Read moreThe first thing you notice coming to Dynasty is how big the restaurant is and the elegance of the restaurant interior design. The tables by the windows have a nice Victoria Harbour view. Service here is very good and Dynasty is a great choice for a date night or special occasion. I really enjoyed the food here as well. Some of the best deep fried dim sum I have had in HK.
Food: 4.25 stars Service/environment: 4.75 stars Overall: 4.25 stars Recommendations: char siu, egg rolls, fried rice, daily soup, fried fish appetizer
The lists of best char siu in Hk often includes Dynasty in the list. This distinction is well deserved and definitely something that should be ordered on your visit. The shrimp egg rolls here are really great as well as the small fried fish appetizer. They really know how to deep fry things here where the dishes are crispy and light. Do make sure to save room for dessert as the desserts here are...
