Thus far the worst dining experience in Hong Kong. Both soups were stinky in a way that made me nauseated and I could not eat either. The wonton and fish curry were OK Then came the absolute shock - they don't accept credit cards. They sent me to a nearby ATM machine First machine was out of cash (suboptimal for a cash machine, no?), the 2nd machine kept rejecting my cash withdrawal request (thank you Bank of America ), finally another card I was able to get cash and pay the bill (which was around HKD 370, which would have been really inexpensive for the amount of food we ordered had it been edible).

Read moreAlso known as Yi mein, these are wheat and egg noodles, made with soda water giving it a springy soft texture, in addition to that chewiness. They were smooth and very easy to eat. And I was starving and polished that whole plate.
In an effort to understand more, I read about the braising or cooking style of these noodles here – Taste Hong Kong.
I haven’t had these particular noodles before but these tasted good here. One of the things I don’t appreciate is the use of plastic serve-ware or dinner-ware at sit-in places.

They told me to wait for a seat sternly, and were especially so when ordering. Overall the service was extremely appalling for a Hong Kong restaurant. The food was expensive and was honestly so mediocre and tasted bland at points. During payment they also spoke in a rude tone and otherwise didn’t say a word, not even a thank you.
