Umami perfection.

Mensho Furyu has one of the (if not the) best miso broths in Hong Kong. The thickness and saltiness is absolutely amazing and it's almost like dipping ramen.

The char siu slices are thick and juicy yet they were also tender, achieving that melt-in-your-mouth texture without being mushy. The edges had a delicious, subtle caramelization that added a wonderful hint of sweetness and smokiness. It was perfectly seasoned throughout. Honestly, some of the best cha shiu I've ever had in any ramen restaurant in the world.

The noodles were done al dente ( the way I like it ) but there is no ordering sheet where you can specify it, so do let the chef know when you order how you would like your noodles done!

The value proposition for this ramen place is nuts. It's very fairly priced and you get way more than you pay for!

100% recommend! It can get a little busy during lunch hour so try to go during tea time and dinner....

Mensho Furyu in Wanchai is a fantastic spot for ramen lovers. The ramen soup is the real highlight—it’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being too heavy. You can tell a lot of thought goes into its preparation, and it’s one of the best broths I’ve had in Hong Kong.

The pork char siu is another standout. It’s tender, well-seasoned, and has just the right amount of fattiness to make it melt in your mouth. The noodles have a great texture—springy and firm, holding up well in the soup. The attention to detail in every component of the bowl is impressive.

The shop itself is small but cozy, with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Service is quick and efficient, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal, whether you’re on your own or...

This is quite possibly my favorite ramen restaurant in Hong Kong. The ramen was excellent, and the gyoza that they served with the ramen really complimented the ramen. I ordered the pork ramen, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of their portions. I would be perfectly comfortable paying at least 10 percent more for my food and I'd still feel that I got my money's worth.

The service was great. My food was served very quickly, and the people working at the restaurant were very efficient. If I had one complaint, it would be that I felt somewhat cramped while I was eating there, but it is a pretty minor one all things considered. I would definitely recommend the restaurant if you are in the area, and I will certainly be...

We consider this Japanese noodle shop to be the best ramen restaurant in the town! Don’t miss it when you are in Hong Kong! We ordered two set menu of pork ramen, one with dumpling and the other with salad. They are both very tasty. Not only the pork were relatively thick-cut, but also their texture were soft and tender. The pork soup was very tasty and would not make you thirsty after all. Besides, servers were very friendly and attentive to customers’ enquiries. Its central location in Wanchai is very convenient to tourists as well as local patrons. This shop is believed to be second to none of its competitors even in Osaka! Love this rare gem, and hope to be back very soon!
