New Korean BBQ Restaurant (Wan Chai) — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

The previews must be paid reviews for this restaurant as there is no way 5 stars is correct. We went today with the family and the food is below average although the price for an all-you-can-eat buffet is ok @$128 per adult. However if you are familiar with good authentic Korean BBQ, then this place is not for you. They try to recreate a Korean BBQ menu but unfortunately the quality of the food, the marinades and the selection of vegetables were noticeably different to authentic tasting Korean BBQ. Furthermore there were basic side dishes that were not provided like lettuce leaves (for 'sam' lettuce wraps) which is a basic standard for Korean bbqs. Also there was no chilli sauce, no bean paste provided on the sides, the bland meat marinades were too sugary nor tasting anything like good Korean recipes. Side dishes including the kimchi were far from the authentic tastes you would expect for Korean restaurants. Quality of the meats were below average, as they were quite fatty or they were very tough and chewy. If you are not fussed, then all you can eat @128 HKD might be good value for you, however if you are after quality tasting Korean BBQ then there are other alternatives...

Endless platters of meat ordered to feed an entire non-vegan village, tender, juicy, and meatilicious.

Only negative is many families with small children, noisy kids running around hyped up with the meat sweats.

Went here last Jan 1 2019 with my partner and her friends@lunch. Side dish? i will say even not many, some are good. Not much vegies ...as in limited! No greens that is usually use for korean beef bbq. Main? Not much to choose from. No other choice for a 1 desert ONLY!!... and note this-- though tea is overflowing... If u like other bevereges- its sold SEPARATELY-- in a buffet?😱!?! Seriously?!?😒
