Pizzeria Italia Soho Mid-Levels — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Pizzeria Italia has been my usual place for the freshly baked cheesy treat. Compared to the High Street branch with a lively atmosphere, this time we visited the Midlevels branch with a cozy and intimate ambience perfect for a romantic date.

Mix Antipasti A starter platter with a variety of munchies from Italian classics to deep-fried snacks.

Parma Gorgonzola e Cipolle Pizza Briny parma ham with dripping oil from the fatty parts, which went excellently with the salty and moldy melting blue cheese. Moist dough with a crispy crust.

Risotto ai Funghi Risotto in a rich and creamy parmesan sauce with fragrant earthy porcini. Comforting and warming. Must-eat especially in winter.

Until tonight I have always enjoyed the pizzas, pasta, salads and the staff. Tonight was sadly different. After having a good pizza, but not the best as it was slight overcooked, a lovely salad and couple of pints of Peroni, I was asked to leave my corner table and move to a take-out seat to finish my beer. A new customer was waiting. I had just spent well over HKD400 and was extremely put out by this appalling customer service. I guess that I had been there an hour; maybe an hour and 15 at the most. I have been going to this restuarant for over a year on a fairly regular basis. I have shown my loyalty. Well my dear; you'll only ever do that once to me! Don't ever take your customers...

Tastes like frozen pizza with additional toppings on top. They whipped out a pizza in around 7 minutes and tells me it was freshly made. From how round the pizza is, how burnt the sides were- this was definetely not freshly made within that time frame. The lasagna was overly oily, and the cheese was old.

Customer service was non-existent and I felt like I was eating at home with my maid rushing me to clear the table. We were only there for 40 minutes or less, but I wanted to get the hell outta there.
