Siam 28 — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I had a nice experience dining at Siam 28. The food was flavorful, well-presented, and came in generous portions. The stir-fried noodles with vegetables and cashews were savory with a good balance of textures, while the stir-fried greens were fresh and had that signature Thai wok aroma. I also enjoyed the grilled pork with dipping sauce – juicy with a smoky edge that paired perfectly with the tangy-spicy sauce.

For dessert, the mango sticky rice was a sweet highlight, the mango was ripe and fragrant, and the coconut sauce added a creamy finish. here for a thai dinner and was amazing! while flipping through the menu, we found the food, the combinations was quite interesting.

best pick of the night was the mince beef and lettuce to wrap. it's usually served as mince pork but here got the choice of chicken and beef too, so make it more flexi.

the deep fried oyster cake was nice, although the egg was a bit overly fried, overall it went so well with beer (or softdrinks).

the most surprising one was the deep fried vege - it's made batter wrapped and fried one by one in the wok so they weren't clump together afterwards. the texture and taste was really funny.

we had no more room for dessert this time but definitely will come back...

19/2 極度不愉快經歷，作為多年來的忠誠顧客，只能嘆息餐廳水準直線下降。食物質素下降，餐牌換咗。應該因為餐廳經濟困難，舊員工全部不在，換來一個矮仔新人，服務超慢（30分鐘不能落單，出單亂晒、漏單，60分鐘出餐，冇能力帶位，要客人罰企，態度惡劣，多桌客人不滿，還發生事故於19/2 午餐時段有自稱經理（？）嘅矮仔新人直接不斷鬧客人、堅持拒絕道歉，之後不斷隱瞞唔肯講自己名、對客講大話，又嘗試唔俾客人向公司投訴，離晒譜，超唔專業，就係呢種人令一間曾經咁好嘅餐廳而家變成不知所謂，連茶餐廳都好過佢，令人感到沮喪及失望。氣氛同員工咁差，食物同餐牌又差咗，餐廳失去所有特色，已經建議所有朋友及網上群組唔需要再支持呢間餐廳。事實上，餐廳營業時間縮短，仲要攞牌招攬街客，已經生意困難到出晒面，咁嗰個所謂自稱阿Wing嘅經理（睇怕都係假名，當時只得佢一個侍應）都仲要不斷趕客，都幾肯定最後會執笠收場，唏噓令曾經真心支持多年嘅熟客仔好失望。USED to be good, but it’s now a struggling business with lowered quality service and food. Don’t think of it as the same restaurant now. Service is very, very, VERY slow (you should expect 60 min wait just for lunch and that’s after a 30 min wait just to order) , attitude of “manager” was appalling, all the lovely old managers and waiters are not here anymore. The only server was one short guy who was rude, incompetent, slow and lazy. This used to be a lovely little place and I don’t know if the owner changed. The place is obviously struggling financially, but the horrible service was the last straw. It is so bad they would rather spend money on paying someone to stand in the street with flyers and pay for a better waiter “manager”. A disastrous and desperate attempt to get street customers instead of retaining old loyal customers. I’ve completely lost interest in this place after an extremely unpleasant confrontation from the “manager” (self proclaimed) called “wing” (he tried very hard to lie about his name and his position in the work shift after mistreating his customer) and it was so bad I actually disrecommended this place to all my friends and my online community.
