Sonnecad Coffee Studio & Lab is one of several really good coffee shops in the Tai Hang neighbourhood. It located along on Tsuen Street and is the sort of place you'd walk right past and not even know it is there. The door is always closed, just look for the sign outside to know they are open.

There is one table downstairs and a few upstairs. Barista/waitstaff will walk you through the coffee beans on offer as well as preparation options. I recently tried their Brasilian Santos coffee, prepared pour over style. This was a really good coffee with noticeable hints of hazelnut and chocolate, medium bodied and really nice flavour. Highly recommend this cafe if you like attention to detail. The beans are selected carefully and the aroma of the place is probably the best I’ve had in Hong Kong. The 8.4 white coffee had some of the best flavour I’ve had. The milkwork is good, not exceptional. They could do with offering a wider selection of milk coffees so you can reduce the amount of milk and really elevate the flavour. The drip coffee is what they’re known for and for good reason. a lovely little coffee shop to enjoy only the best coffee. it's not a cafe, u know, to serve cakes and for social media that kind.... it's really a place to enjoy coffee. some selected single origin for the day, and once the order is placed, the owner would immediately make coffee, carefully at the counter, then serve fresh and delicate. some packed beans to buy too. a lovely cozy coffee time here. so please keep your voice low when coming and chit chat with friends.
