Sorabol Korean Restaurant (CWB) is nestled in the heart of the city, offering a delightful culinary journey through the flavors of Korea. From the moment you step foot into this Michelin-rated establishment, you are enveloped in an ambiance that exudes simplicity in a family friendly environment.

One of the standout dishes at Sorabol is their Beef Tartare (G2), a true masterpiece that has become my personal favorite. The meticulously crafted dish is a symphony of flavors and textures. The tender beef, expertly seasoned with a harmonious blend of spices, melts in your mouth with each bite. The accompanying garnishes and condiments add a delightful contrast, elevating the dish to new heights. It is a testament to the culinary prowess of the chef at Sorabol.

Apart from the exceptional food, Sorabol boasts an impeccable staff that enhances the dining experience. The service is impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff members who are well-versed in the intricacies of Korean cuisine. They are more than willing to guide you through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of your visit is met with utmost care and attention. The staff's warm and friendly demeanor creates a welcoming atmosphere, making you feel right at home.

Sorabol's recognition in the Michelin Guide is well-deserved. The restaurant has consistently demonstrated its commitment to culinary excellence and innovation. The menu is a carefully curated selection of traditional Korean dishes and modern interpretations, all executed with precision and flair. Each dish is a work of art, as visually stunning as it is delicious. The chefs' attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the preparation, from the sourcing of ingredients to the presentation on the plate.

Beyond the Beef Tartare, Sorabol offers a range of other delectable dishes that are equally impressive. From classic favorites like Bibimbap and Bulgogi to lesser-known delights like Japchae and Kimchi Pancakes, the menu caters to a variety of tastes and preferences. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, ensuring that everyone can indulge in the culinary delights of Sorabol.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal with friends or loved ones, Sorabol provides the ideal setting for a memorable dining experience.

In conclusion, Sorabol Korean Restaurant is a true culinary gem that deserves all the accolades it has received. From the unforgettable Beef Tartare (G2) to the impeccable staff and Michelin-rated excellence, every aspect of the restaurant exudes quality and passion. If you're seeking an extraordinary dining experience that combines the best of Korean cuisine with top-notch service, Sorabol is the place to be. Prepare to embark on a gastronomic adventure that will leave you...

Bad!! Stay away from this restaurant. They may have gotten some Michelin star few years ago, but it is totally different now. Short handed and rude staff. We ordered two dishes. - Some ox bone soup with noodles and another dish consisted of braised fish. We expected them to be served together, but the fiirst dish with ox bone soup came first after 10-15 minutes, and we waited for the last fish dish, but it never came out. It was after 30 minutes we decided to ask the staff where the last dish was. They said that dish requires some time to prepare and make. So we waited some more, and decided to ask again after 50 minutes. They decided to ask the kitchen staff. They came out with some laughter and smile and said it is being served on a plate right now. But we waited another 10 minutes and it was then they served it. They clearly forgot about the dish. The two waitresses who served our table decided to stand by our table while serving the last dish and said "oh, this fish is sooo good, it is so worth the waiting, my favorite dish", and they stood there togthere watching our reaction while eating. It was honestly quite unpleasant feeling. They tried to hide the fact that they forgot the order and tried make it like the fish was super delicous by saying all that stuff to make us believe it really required 1 hour to make...It tasted honestly very bland, and the fish was overcooked....probably because they forgot it... And then we ate in a hurry so we could leave asap. And when we paid by the counter, the same waitress was so rude to not even looking at our direction when she did the bill on the bank terminal, and when the receipt came out she just threw it to me behind her shoulder.

In conclusion, stay away. Do not be tricked by the Michelin star sign that they...

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at the Restaurant, and I want to express my complaint using the harshest tone possible. Here are the issues I encountered at the restaurant:

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I immediately noticed the manager's cold and extremely poor attitude. Her treatment of customers was unacceptable, making us feel as if we owed her something.

During seating, the restaurant manager was incredibly lazy and unwilling to accommodate customer preferences. She even refused to rearrange seating to fulfill our request for a window table because she didn't want to move the utensils.

When settling the bill, the manager used an extremely rude tone to command customers to retrieve their credit cards. This kind of impolite behavior is intolerable.

The restaurant's operating hours were also incorrect. Even though we arrived before the closing time of 11 PM, the manager announced at 10 PM that the restaurant was closing and forced customers to settle the bill, leading us to leave without finishing our meal.

The quality of the food did not meet expectations and was far from deserving any Michelin-star rating.

Additionally, the restaurant's hygiene standards did not meet our expectations. The utensils were not cleaned to an acceptable level, but we chose not to request replacements to avoid further confrontation with the manager.

I am deeply disappointed with this restaurant. Their service attitude is deplorable, refusing to accommodate reasonable customer requests, and there are even hygiene issues. I strongly advise against visiting this Restaurant, as such a terrible experience is not worth your...

It has been a long time since I dined at Sorabol Korean Restaurant and to my surprise, they do offer budget-friendly lunch sets. My friends and I tried the following: - Jehyook Bokum Set (spicy marinated pork with kimchi) HK$125 - Galbi Jjim (braised beef short ribs) HK$168 - Galbi Gui (grilled short ribs) HK$80 Sorabol’s Galbi Jjim was very different from the one I usually have where the broth has been cooked down to a thick sauce glazed nicely on top of the meet and vegetables. Here the broth was not thick at all, almost like clear soup but regardless, it still has that sweet and savoury taste from ingredients such as ginkgo nuts, jujubes…etc,. The Galbi Gui was grilled just right where the meet was juicy and tender. For Jehyook Bokum, more than two third of the dish was covered by kimchi and the remaining pork was a bit too fatty.

On the 18th floor of Lee Theatre building, this Michelin Star Korean restaurant has a nice bright feel to it. There is a section near the glass windows with a decent view, see if you can get one of those tables. They have a set lunch menu, from HK$ 80-120, served with kimchi, rice bowl, soup, greens and peanut-anchovy sides, with a couple of wedges of orange. Can also order from the main menu, where you get meals for groups to share, going up to HK$ 400-500. We ordered the mix meat platter and beef and cabbage hangover soup, which totalled to HK$ 200 or so. The food and portions were average but the service was friendly and attentive.

Disappointing food. We had the beef and veg hot pot for two, with noodles. The beef and veg were ok but they don't give you that much. The sauces were not good, the sesame one was watered down so it only has a hint of sesame taste. The kimchee wasn't marinated for very long so it wasn't very flavoursome. The portion of noodles were just enough for one person so it was overpriced for them to charge$60 extra for them. Service wasn't great either (it was non existent) and they have the cheek to charge a 10% service charge. I wouldn't go there again.
