t2P is a small restaurant hidden at an unnoticeable corner in Tin Hau, Hong Kong. The name of the restaurant is actually the abbreviation for both “The Second Phase” and “time to play”, matching the rather layback atmosphere and the "downshifting" trend. The main dining room with a high ceiling is bright and warm. However, the backless stools are not comfortable, and the tables are rather sticky. Staff might not be rude, but they are not the friendliest bunch either. The fusion cuisine is a bit overpriced, because the food quality is rather inconsistent. While the Citrus pepper karaage (HK$68) is crunchy and flavorful, the House Barbecued Spanish Iberico Baby Back-Ribs with Chips (HK$268) are tough and chewy. Read moreLocated in a secluded part of Tin Hau facing the fire station, T2P is a hidden gem that offers great food and a relaxing vibe.
In congruence with its stylish appearance, T2P offers cafe-style food such as pasta, but with their own twist which gives the food a Japanese/Asian touch.
What’s more, T2P also offers ramen and tsukemen. Tried their apple curry tsukemen; the curry sauce is thick and slightly sweet, and the noodles are satisfyingly slurpy as well.
The shop is very crowded during lunch hour on weekdays, so it is best to book your seat or arrive earlier to beat the crowd.
Will definitely come back to try more of its ramen...
