As luck would have it, my wandering path led me to Central Market, where I noticed the inviting sign of Yoshinoya.

My wife and I visited for dinner, driven by my search for nostalgic feelings of eating here many times when I lived in Japan.

The food was as I remembered (with the addition of a slightly watery but super cheap iced coffee), so no problems there.

The restaurant was a tad chaotic though. The food came quicker than we could grab a table - could make for an awkward situation. Also, it took staff some time to bus tables, so we ate with somebody else's dirty leftovers for company.

If you desperately want to eat at Yoshinoya, I suggest you find one in a sleepier location for a more relaxing,...

Quick and cheap meal. Just be aware that you won’t get a lot of beef in your bowl, so you might want to consider additional sides. Also, be sure to get the extra teriyaki sauce if you’re ordering the beef enoki rolls, as they were pretty tasteless without it.
