Stick to the coffee-based menu and you will be able to enjoy your drink.
Unfortunately, I had the worst tasting matcha latte ever in HK, and was very disappointed especially after paying a steep HK$48-50 for it. The milk foam on the matcha latte was cold. The matcha also did not have a bright green color normally found in freshly-made matcha lattes - it was a dull green moss color, normally found in old or low-quality matcha. It also tasted quite bitter. I noticed they used some matcha liquid concentrate instead of matcha powder. Even McDonald's Cafe matcha latte tasted better than the one at Little Cove.
The Chai Latte was a bit more redeeming but not too special.
After taking a few sips of the almost un-drinkable matcha latte, I ordered a flat white. It was much better and redeemed my bitter experience earlier.
Probably wise to just stick to their coffee-based drinks. A plus is the nice atmosphere and seating area, which is in the lobby of One...
Read moreLittle Cove recently opened this new spot in the lobby of the One East Island building in QB. There is a spacious and nice seating area, menu seems a bit trimmed down from their other branches, sandos, salads and other savoury and along with a nice range of sweet dishes and counter desserts.
I had a quick lunch stop here recently, tried the tuna & ricotta on ciabatta. My order was served in just a couple minutes, seems much of what they have prepared in advance and unfortunately that didn't lend well with a tuna sandwich. The lower ciabatta bun was rather soggy which wasn't nice. Otherwise the tuna & ricotta tasted fair. Macchiato served with my lunch was fine.
Would try a different food order, perhaps a salad or one of their sweet dishes or counter desserts. These have been pretty good from what I've found at their...
Read moreI came here after the morning rush. I order a single origin cold brew which cost 55 dollars, when it comes to paying, I was told there’s a 10% service charge as I want to drink it at the shop. I end up taking it to go and they simply give me their cold brew in a bottle and didn’t even both to give me a cup. I have to ask for a cup!!! I guess coffee shops are charging for service fees these days otherwise we will not even pour your coffee in a cup for you!
THE SERVICE SHOULD BE “0” AS I HAVE TO OPEN THE BOTTLE OF COLD BREW AND...
