We were utterly disappointed at the attitude and service of the captioned premises at Lee Gardens.
We ordered two Espresso Macchiato, a scone with extras and the lemon cake.
The coffee served was bitter and when my partner politely asked on my behalf for a splash of milk, we were informed this was not possible. I then walked up and spoke in Cantonese to ask if I could have a little milk to soften the bitter taste, I was informed this was not their policy and they refused.
We were not even offered to pay for the 1 Tablespoon of milk we were requesting. We were just declined.
In all the 5 star hotels and properties we have visited around the world, in all the Starbucks and Pacific Coffees, where we are the highest tier members, and other similar outlets, I have never faced such awful attitude of the staff. First it was a female employee and then a male one. Also, they looked down on us.
Out of principle, we are so disgusted with the service and shocked that Hysan would lease a premises to these tenants.
My opinion is don't bother. It's better to pay more at a Starbucks of Pacific Coffee where one is treated with dignity than to face such a unprofessional and...
Read moreCoffee is not bad, but horrible service! The lady was basically giving me an emotional abuse because I missed her asking about sugar. And I don’t speak Cantonese well that’s probably why I missed it. 港人素質普遍很好,但這是少數很差的表現。講國語的千萬不要買! Following this horrible experience, I did a quick research on the reasons for bad service in HK. Reasons are mainly twofolds: worsened education in moral standards, long working hours low wage without tips
This is sad but true, even though it still makes no sense to get abused for no reason, at least I won’t hold grudges on one specific person.
Followed up: the shop replied with sarcastic remarks, which totally shows what kind of service you will receive. Just to rewind: I used my phone to pay, but failed for the first time so I had to hold it up for facial recognition- the only time I looked at my phone during the entire 10 seconds of our exchange.(btw since you have ‘checked the video’, you should see me saying thank you to her at the end)
All in all, even if customers unintentionally missed what you said, does it give you excuse to respond with intentional rudeness? At root of this problem is education(and...
Read moreCoffee at N.O.T is generally OK. Food is average and pastries are a bit oily (especially the coconut / almond square). However N.O.T coffee could really brush up on their customer service. It is not just one isolated incident (previously treated my wife with rudely) but I was quite surprised at the lack of flexibility today. I originally wanted to order a latte and Affogato without coffee for my child (meaning just ice cream)... I asked the staff to bill me Latte and Affogato and surprised that a blunt reply was that Affogato cannot come without coffee, I asked perhaps they could put the coffee on the side (I could just add it to my latte) but apparently it cannot be done. I left and will think twice before returning as the location is quite nice but service really ruins the experience. Perhaps N.O.T can take this as...
