It was much needed family trip of ours from Shanghai to Hong Kong last week. The highlight of our entire trip was our food experience in Anjappar Restaurant in Hong Kong TSim Sha Tsui. We had fantastic time at this Restaurant. Out of the 5 days we stayed,4 of the day’s Lunch or dinner was in Anjappar. Their service was just amazing, I was really impressed especially with the Manager Shaik Mohammed customer service. He is truly a professional. Shaik guided us so well in recommending to our taste on what to order and the right quantity for 3 of us. Apart from Shaik we were extremely happy to meet the Chef Saravanan, The man behind preparation of such a delicious food. Thank you Saravanan. The other staff also were also very good in serving us our ordered dishes at our table without we waiting for long time.
Leaving in Shanghai we were really missing quality Indian food. Having Anjappar food in HK was really a blessing for us. The Anjappar Chicken Masala, Mutton Chukka , Nalli Masala, Mutton Biryani, KAL Dosai, Rasam(My wife best was the Rasam) and Payasam were of excellent taste. Having all these dishes we had our moment of "Yeh Dil Maange More! And More!" .We even bagged our packed food to have it the next day in Shanghai and to be honest having the food next day was even more delicious.
I have never pulled out time to write review like this, but i felt I really need to write a positive review about my positive experience in Anjappar else it won’t be fair on my part as me and family and had wonderful dining experience. Although Anjappar restaurant is huge success , I wish their success story continues and hope to see them open a restaurant soon in...
Read moreLast year, my sisters had a blast celebrating cousins birthday at Anjappar🥳🎂, a halal-certified gem in Tsim Sha Tsui, and this year, it was my brother's turn to shine as he turned 15! 🫶🏼💗 Decided to dive into the flavors of India right here in HK, and here's the scoop🍴: 🍗Tandoori Non-Veg Platter - $400, tasty but honestly, the portion left us wanting more. A decent try but a 4/10 for value. 🍛 Anjappar Chicken Thali - At $120, it landed at an average taste score. Was hoping for more, so it's a 5/10 from me. 🍜 Szechwan Chicken Noodles - $130 of pure delight! Finally got to see what all my fave Indian bloggers rave about, and it did not disappoint. A solid 9/10! 🍚 Mix Fried Rice - For $130, it was the MVP of the night. Best fried rice ever, hands down a 10/10! 🥘 Bamboo Mutton Biryani - $140 and a lot of hype. Spicy, yes, but as a Pulao fan, it was a 7/10 for me.
Despite a full house, Anjappar's ambiance was welcoming, with staff aceing our orders in the rush - a testament to its popularity and service.🙌🏽🤍 Overall, the restaurant hits a 7/10, making it a spot worth trying, especially for my fellow Muslims in Hong Kong looking for halal options, and honestly, anyone in search of a new Indian flavor...

Another Indian restaurant for the week!! 🤣 no idea why I’ve been craving Indian food so much but yea butter chicken ftw!
Butter chicken was very herby and spiced but unfortunately lacked the butter and creamy texture that butter chicken should have ☹️
The garlic Nan was very good though! Very garlicky and had the perfect texture. Does not go soft even after dipping sauce in it!
Anjappar fish meal looked very appetising from photos but honestly did not know what I was eating 😂 there were so many sauces with no instructions at all. Tried the sauces individually and mixed tgt but still couldn’t figure out. The main character should be the fish but it was a small piece of fish that was already dipped in sauce. So not sure how I was supposed to eat it 🤔 The crisp on top of the rice was supposed to be crispy? But it turned out soggy 🤪 it also comes with Nan but it tasted horrible :(
P.s. the water bottle on the table is not free $15 to be exact 😂 don’t be deceived by it’s welcoming looks. Also The waitresses did not like wearing their masks properly so that was a red flag...
