The Hart, unlike how you find the heart in the center. This quaint industrial hotel is located on Hart Avenue, in a popular place in Hongkong called Tsim Sha Tsui. It's a peculiar hotel with a lobby on the top rather than the ground floor. ||The first thing that made sense to me was how a particular fragrant tickled my nose. It reminded me of fresh flowers and the smell of the rain when it hits the ground after a very long hot day. As I entered the space, I looked up and saw the lighting fixture hanging overhead giving the reception area as a sense of mystery. There was just enough light. Shadows played here and there against the concrete finish of the wall and the black details gave the whole space its own distinct character.||As masculine as it may look, I didn't miss noticing the fresh flowers placed at the end of the reception table and a shallow wooden bowl with a metal engraving that says key drop. The interior design of the space was minimal but the accent spoke volumes.||The staff at the reception area weren't overly friendly. Just enough, I guess, to get us by. ||Our room was small but it didn't feel suffocating. It was just enough for a traveling couple ready to explore Hong Kong. I loved our first room (we extended and requested a bigger room). Drinking water was provided, fresh towels, a comfortable bed, and bathing needs like shampoo, conditioner, and the body were also some of the little nice perks. ||I heartfully love our stay...
Read moreI liked its great location in Tsim Sha Tsui, near the MTR station and around many shops and eateries. The design was also quite nice, obviously appealing to the young/hip crowd with the industrial design. For the amount I paid as a solo traveller, I think it was quite good value-for-money. However, some issues which may make me think twice about staying there again, though they are not deal-breakers and I may still recommend the hotel. For one, the hotel is hard to find, despite the big banners dangling outside its building. It is located at The Hart building, but if you dont look up you wont know where the hotel is. Ground floor lobby doesnt say anything about the hotel either, and the lobby was under renovation too. I located the lobby next to a bar in the end, and the hotel lobby was at Level 10. The hotel itself has few facilities and the room was not big, so dont expect much (for the money you pay). My biggest issue was that I did not manage to have very good sleep at night, as the thin walls were not soundproof-enough - I could hear my neighbours' TV and water pipes next door in the middle of the night. Also, this is the first time I stayed in a hotel that did not provide hand soap... I had to use the body soap, and the bottles they used to contain the soap, shampoo etc. were so hard to use because they were quite hard to squeeze. Unfortunate that for a hotel centred on design, some of these design elements...

I had to book last minute and was looking at reviews but decided to book anyway because of the location! At the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui and very near 2 MRT stations: TST and East TST. Also just beside a nice mall, so everything you need is a stone throw away. Pubs and night life is a thing in the area too, but not to worry. Despite being in a busy location, sleeping wasn't a problem as noises are reduced.
Rooms are spacious enough, I think even for two people - it's actually bigger than a normal HK hotel rooms. Toilet doesn't have a bidet but I think that's standard in this city. The bathroom was equipped with everything you need. Beds were clean and comfy. No complaints here! :)
Location is really a great selling point. It's located in a building which also has clubs and restaurants and around it are pubs and shops that open until late night. There's a mall nearby if you want to do some shopping. Avenue of Stars is a few minutes walk away, a pier going to Macau is also in walking distance. Lastly, it's a few minutes away from TST and East TST stations. Bus stations are also nearby.
Loved how helpful the staff was when I left my key inside and got locked out or when I need an adaptor - HK has a different socket.
Overall giving this hotel 5/5 stars! Highly recommended and will stay here if I visit...
