There are many great restaurants in TST, but this isn't one of them. Our roast chicken and japchae were all right. Nothing to write home about. What stood out most was the freezing A/C and the sullen and rude waitress.

When we came in, we were seated under an A/C unit that was blasting Antarctic wind down on us. We asked the waitress if we could sit elsewhere, and she made a face and sort of grunted and pointed at the seats next to us, in which we could still feel a strong cold breeze. At this point another couple came in and she seated them in the seats we'd first been in, and they also asked to move almost immediately. Even the table on the other side of us said they were cold. We tried to get the waitress's attention again but she seemed to be ignoring us, so we just moved ourselves across the room. If we hadn't ordered already, we would have walked out.

Finally like 10 min later, another waitress came by and changed the A/C settings. It took 6 people complaining to make such a simple change! Amazing food would have made up for this, but sadly, it...

Goobne is a Korean chicken specialist which has several branches around Hong Kong including this restaurant on Hart Ave in TST. They offer a range of Korean dishes but are most popular for their oven roasted chicken which you can order on the bone, boneless and in a variety of flavours.

Opening hours are 12pm until past midnight daily. They have normal dining in seating and you can order take-away or delivery as well if you prefer to dine within the comfort of your home, office or area hotel.

We recently ordered the Goobne GH12 Volcano Chicken Set. The order was delivered in 32 minutes and came with two side orders (choice of pickled radish, salad or small range of drinks). The chicken was well baked, succulent and tasted absolutely delicious in the spicy hot yet sweet volcano sauce. In short, if you like spicy Korean chicken, you'll really like the Volcano Chicken from Goobne. This was very, very good - something we plan to order...

Ordered the UFO cheese fondue, got 2 different flavors, smoky bbq and sweet and spicy, both flavors are way too sweet. The chicken was overcooked. The cheese suppose to have 3 different versions. Mozerella, cheddar and a tint of parmesan. I cannot taste or smell the cheeses at all, it is just a gimmick; good for people to see the cheese stretching thats it. You will get tired of it very quickly and eat the chicken without the cheeses instead. The half of the staff is korean and the other half Cantonese. They were alright, but feels like they are very green. Nowadays lots of hip korean restaurants open in HK, majority of them just present the product very well to lure customers, however the food is not good. Goobne is no exception. If you want good chicken look...

We ordered spicy korean rice cake with noodles, garlic and cheese chicken with fondue and the somersby drinks with shaved ice. The somersby drink was really cold, sweet and refreshing, perfect for hot weather's like summer. The alcohol is pretty weak but adding some citrus soju should give it a little bit more kick. The Korean rice cake was surprisingly good but it's probably because I wasn't expecting much. In my past experience, the Korean rice cake is usually the worst food. The chicken was also not bad with the fondue (disclaimer: I love cheese) but I think it's a bit gimmicky since the price is relatively on the high side. I'd still give this a 5/5 and a recommended place to go for some decent, affordable, Korean fried chicken.
