I recently visited a restaurant that had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The children were especially excited by the Hygdon balloon, creating a festive vibe. They loved the Holiday Children's Kid's Set, which included mini burgers with fries and fruit. They finished every bite and were thrilled by the Gashapon machines that offered 90 marks. It made their experience even more enjoyable.
I decided to try the Chicago Classic Combination, but I must admit that both the presentation and taste were mediocre. The Baked Potato Skins lacked that special touch, and the Onion Rings were unevenly shaped. The only redeeming factor was the flavorful Buffalo Wings, but they didn't justify the price.
However, the Hanger Steak I ordered was a delight. It was rich, beefy, and left me feeling hearty and satisfied. We also indulged in some juices and beverages. While the overall bill was less than a thousand, it wasn't particularly cheap. Nevertheless, considering the cozy atmosphere, the enjoyable experience the children had, and the fact that they left feeling full and happy, it was...
Read moreThe food and service was great at this location and we would have given then a much higher rating, however, beware of how they post foreign credit/debit card amounts. When we paid our bill and they processed our credit card, we chose local currency and the original amount was posted that way on our bank statement. A few days later our bank statement shows that the amount was reversed and then reposted in the Canadian currency amount which is a higher amount. I contacted our bank and they advised this was all requested by Dan Ryan's. So I emailed Dan Ryan's to ask them what was going on and to have the amounts corrected. I never had a reply from them nor did they try to contact me in any was. This is extremely frustrating! When the option is given abroad we always choose local currency and not our Canadian currency and I sent them the paperwork to prove it. Not...
Read moreUsed to frequent Dan Ryan’s in HK under its former guise and management back in the 1990s & 2000s, especially at Pacific Place; not sure what changes have been undergone since, but the surviving restaurants are a shadow of those days. Loss of atmosphere, ambience, service and, above all, food quality. I hesitate in thinking a 2.5 or 3 rating is fair, as it’s likely ok in its own context as a restaurant as portions are reasonable and it is a reasonable facsimile of an American style restaurant, but it’s also very evident that it is a lower standard to the old days so, perhaps, I’m judging it too harshly? Still seems pricey for the quality and service that I received, they may have delivered the condiments I requested at the start of the...
