Ebisoba Ichigen (Tsim Sha Tsui) — Restaurant in Kowloon

Nice ramen restaurant in the Harbour City mall in Tsim Sha Tsui.

We didn’t get a seat by the window (with its harbour view), but the restaurant is tastefully decorated, airy and clean, so we didn’t mind.

Ordered a couple of bowls of ramen - one with soup and one dry.

The soup ramen was miso based and was ok. Wasn’t too salty but didn’t really have any real depth of flavour either. The included onsen egg was just as it should be: soft, delicate and with a creamy yoke.

The dry ramen was similar but with a few more accompaniments and no broth. Both bowls of ramen were slightly oily.

Service was good. Food arrived quickly and serving staff polite.

All in all, not bad but not great...

Very unique ramen broth is served at Ichigen. Shrimp broth ramen is specialty of this place. They also offer combination of Shrimp brith with regular pork broth but being here it is best to try their special dish. Ramen itself was wwll made and very tastey. They also have sets in the offer, with Gyoza and salad. Even set for 2 persons. Interesting thing to see for the first time was tap at the counter table. So you can por water for yourself directly from the pipe. Unique and very handy. I saw they also have romantic spots next to the window, and its view looks at beautifull night skyline of Hong Kong Islad. A nice place with sea view for Japanese ramen while missing the good time in Japan.

Spicy miso ebisoba which is Hong Kong Limited provided, no reason not to order.

The special set with HKD99 which include a ramen, side dish and drink. It’s an attractive offer compare other shop in harbour city.

You could pick 1 ramen from Japanese Tomato Ebisoba, Cold noodle with shrimp and sesame sauce, Ebi mazesoba or Spicy miso ebisoa.

Choose 1 side dish soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots or fungus (wood-ears).
